Queens: Gorgeous Custom Designed Crowns; Beautiful Silver Trays; Monogrammed Wraparound Banners; attendance and introductions at the 2009 Christmas Under the Oaks Festival; invitations to area events and functions; appearance in the Calcasieu Cameron Fair Parade and Sulphur Christmas Parade.
Alternates and Photogenic: Beautiful Silver Trays Fashion and Optionals: Frameable Certificate.
Every contestant will receive recognition for their participation
Rules and General Information
Score sheets will not be posted. Include a self addressed stamped envelope with your entry for your scores only. Please allow at least 2 weeks for them to arrive. You may also email for them. Modeling will be basic “T” formation with 3 “X’s” in front of judges. Hair and make-up must be age appropriate. Dress Code must be adhered to. Bad sportsmanship or disrespect to Pageant Participants, Judges, Pageant or Festival Coordinators will not be tolerated. You will be disqualified and asked to leave without benefit of refund. 2008 Royalty may compete if they age into next Division. No age grace period or bumping up to next age group; you must compete age you are on day of pageant. If contestant’s age is questioned, parent must provide copy of birth certificate to prove birth date. If any information on application is false, contestant will be required to forfeit any prizes/ title won to pageant committee and will be banned from future Christmas Under the Oaks and Sulphur Heritage pageants.
2009 Christmas Under the Oaks Royalty agree to be properly dressed, groomed and behaved at all times during her reign and abide by the conditions of this agreement with the Festival or she will forfeit her title and all prizes to the Pageant Committee. No smoking or alcohol consumption during appearances and reign. The Festival and parade are on the first weekend in December.

1. From I-10 West, take Exit 20 north to Ruth St.
2. Follow Ruth St to the 3rd red light. There will be a Capital One Bank on the right.
3. Continue on the same street; it will curve slightly to the left and will turn into Huntington St.
4. The next red light will be Cypress St; the Brimstone Museum will be on the right.
5. Turn right on the very next street after Cypress; this will be Ash St, but there is no street sign.
6. About half a block down, there will be two stop signs; go to the left one.
7. Zigzag slightly to the left thru the stop sign and stay on Ash.
8. At the next stop sign, turn left in front of Sulphur High. This is Sycamore St.
9. The street will curve to the right; follow the curve and turn right into the teacher’s parking lot to park.
10. The doors to the pageant are just past the iron gates where the school meets in a corner of the parking lot.

Sibling discount: $10 off for each sibling entering after the first contestant: 1st child: $55 and siblings thereafter: $45 each. ($60/ $50 if entering on 11/20/09 or at the door)
Photogenic is included in entry fee. One unframed photo may be brought to Registration on Pageant day.
Do not mail photos Name, address and age must be on the back of photo.

Entry forms and fees must be mailed to the address above or dropped off at the Henning Cultural Center in Sulphur, Monograms Express in Lake Charles, Broadway Royalty in Westlake or to the Directors.
DO NOT DROP YOUR ENTRY FORMS AND FEES ANYWHERE ELSE.
THEY WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.
When mailing the form, please postmark prior to November 6th to ensure timely receipt. If your mailed form is not received by day of pageant, the fee must be paid again at the door. Your mailed check will be returned to you when it is received.
I agree that Sulphur High School, Brimstone Museum, Henning Cultural Center, Christmas Under the Oaks Pageant and Festival and the Pageant Coordinators will not be held responsible for accidents, injury, theft or loss that may occur before, during or after this event and to abide by all rules set forth above. Everything on my application is true and correct information. I (we) also acknowledge that, if crowned Queen, I will be a Representative of the Brimstone Museum and Brimstone Historical Society, and agree that if, at any time, my behavior and/ or appearance is unbecoming to my Title, I will be required to relinquish the Title, Crown, Banner and all other prizes to my next available Alternate and/ or Directors. I (we) give permission for any photos of my child (me) taken at the pageant by the directors, photographer or appointee to be used on their website and/ or for promotional and advertisement purposes and are the property of the Pageant Committee.
