I have been notified by Kennesaw Parks/Recreation we have 3 spots in the Christmas Parade allocated for MissGEorgiaStatePageant.
3-4 cars could fit in these spots.
Katie will participate Saturday Dec 12th, line-up begins @ 10:15, parade starts @ 12:00
Santa and his reindeer are in the parade!! this is a very well attended parade and lots of fun no throwing candy from the cars, but an easy walk for parents or friends to hand out candy along the route.

***Remember to try and wear holiday attire, crowns and sashes to all Christmas parades. Two signs with your title and name on them. Go ahead and prepare a convertible or truck to be in the parade... some parades have a given number of spaces available, but any title holder is able to register for themselves as well to represent their title...

I have registered for the 2009 Newnan Christmas parade. The parade begins at 3:00... we will make plans to line up at around 1:30. Go ahead and secure your convertible or truck, obtain your beautiful holiday attire and make your title signs! I will send a reminder here on where to line up, times and such the week before!
Our very own all newly appointed Miss West Georgia Outstanding teen will be presented for the first time in our parade.. all princess' and Little Miss West Georgia Royalty that can attend, please let me know. All other title holders please let us know if you can attend as well!
We will see you all there.
We also have a Christmas pageant in Covington that we are registered for as well! If you live there and Saturday, December 5th is better for you, let us know!

There have been no inquiries on the Valdosta Christmas pageant, every little on the Macon one and two entries for Athens....
We are now going to combine the events for a Christmas Spectacular event!!!
Sunday, December 13th at the Wadsworth Auditorium in Newnan Georgia!
Little Miss Candy Cane and Georgia Holiday (title to be announced today!) YES TWO TITLES AT ONE EVENT! THAT MAKES MORE WINNERS!!!
All 26 title holders receive the custom embroidered title sash, beautiful christmas crown and santa trophy!

Check-in time for your group is: 9:15 A.M.
The 14th Annual EAST COBBER Parade & Festival will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10am RAIN or SHINE!
The parade will be staged in the parking lot of Mount Bethel Elementary School, 1210 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta 30068.
The 1 mile parade route will begin at 10 am in the Mt. Bethel Elementary School parking lot, travel down Johnson Ferry Road and end at the Fountains of Olde Towne shopping center, 736 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta 30068.
To help us produce a successful parade and for the safety and enjoyment of all parade participants, it is vital that you abide by the following guidelines:
- Arrive at your group’s scheduled time. We have staggered the check-in times to efficiently organize the large number of participants (2,000+) in a limited amount of space.
- Cars NOT part of the parade will not be allowed to drive into the school’s parking lot. The Cobb County police block off the Princeton Lakes road leading to the school that morning. It is suggested that you park in a nearby shopping center parking lot and walk to the school’s parking lot/parade staging area.
- Anyone marching in the EAST COBBER Parade must be in the staging area no later than 9:30am. Johnson Ferry Road from Upper Roswell Road to Lower Roswell Road will be closed to all northbound and southbound traffic from approximately 9:30am until 11:15am, when the parade is over.
I am very excited about this special day and am glad you will be joining us to make this a special celebration. Thank you for being a part of the 14th annual EAST COBBER Parade! I hope you have a fun time!

Labor Day Weekend
Miss Douglasville and Labor Day..Patriotic attire only. No pageant dresses or change of clothing. We will award one winner per age division a beautiful custom embroidered title sash and a beautiful crown. One winner per age division will receive the title of Miss Labor Day and all other contestants will receive the title of Miss Labor Day princess.
Miss Coweta County and Miss Labor Day...Beauty competition for Coweta County and country wear for Miss Labor Day.. One winner per age division will receive the Miss Coweta County embroidered title sash and beautiful crown, one winner per age division will receive the title of Miss Labor Day... all contestants competing in the Miss Coweta County event that do not place as queens will receive a Miss Coweta County Princess Title.
Friday, September 11th, Miss Goldrush...Villa Rica Georgia. All contestants will be invited to compete in the parade on Saturday in downtown Villa Rica. Line up that AM. Please prepare your convertible and be ready to parade with us! One winer per age division will receive the title of Miss Goldrush.. all other contestants will receive the title of Miss Goldrush Princess.

If you are a local or state title holder, make plans to enter one of the Labor Day parades on Monday, September 7th. You can go ahead and work on obtaining a vehicle. The definate dates will be on Monday. We are very excited about your participation in the annual Loganville 4th of July Parade. This is shaping up to be an amazing event, and we are honored that you are taking part in this community celebration.
Please be sure to bring the attached Parade Participant Sheet with you on Saturday, as it will allow you to gain access to the line up area and assist with the process. This MUST be displayed on your vehicle!! If you have more than one vehicle in your group, please copy this sheet for each one.
Parade line-up
Begins at 8:15 am at Bay Creek Elementary School (formally Loganville Primary) and enter from Lee Byrd Road. Due to increased numbers of participants, we will stagger arrival times in 15 minute increments. Your time is __________am. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE!! Check in at the tent, where Parade Staff will direct you to the proper location for line-up.
All floats, vehicles, participants, etc. MUST be in the line-up area by 9:30 am Please remember to bring water and/or cold drinks for your group. It will be HOT!!
One port-a-potty will be available for participants at the line-up area
Parade start
10:00 am sharp! It travels north along GA SR 81, turning south onto Main Street (GA SR 20) where it will end. The route is just under 1 mile in length.
Parade step-down
Parade is stepping down behind the shops on Main Street. All persons riding on the float that want to stay in the festival area (Main Street) will be directed toward City Hall, where you will be allowed to disembark from your float Please DO NOT stop at the end of the parade route, as this causes a bottleneck.
Float/Entries not disembarking will be QUICKLY moved out of the area toward CS Floyd so as not to cause a back up on the parade route.
The 4th of July Festival will be immediately following the parade. This consists of local artisans and crafters, food vendors, free bounce houses/slides, free face painting, and more! We hope that you and your families will be sticking around for a WONDERFUL celebration.

We have representatives participating in the Oxford July 4th parade if anyone is interested.
The City of Oxford and the Oxford Lions Club will be hosting the annual Fourth of July Parade and Celebration. We are extending an invitation to have you join us in this year's event. Participants are encouraged to patriotically decorate your vehicle. Prizes will be awarded for these categories: best float($100), best car or truck($50), best other motorized vehicle($50), best bicycle($50) and most
unusual entry($50). To enter for the Judge's Prize Awards, you must register and pick up your number by 9:30 a.m. at the registration table located on Pierce Street next to Allen Memorial United Methodist Church. The parade line-up starts at 9:00 a.m. on Haygood Avenue at the Oxford College tennis courts. The parade will be underway at 10:00 a.m. Awards and recognition of the Citizen of the Year are presented by the Mayor immediately following the parade at Old Church. There will also be live music, concessions, free watermelon and popcorn, and fun for all.
We hope to make this year extra special and the largest gathering ever. We hope you can participate!

WE ARE REGISTERED FOR THE NEWNAN JULY 4TH PARADE
The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park off of Jackson Street. The parade will move through
downtown Newnan on LaGrange Street through the Historic District to Newnan High School.
If you want to exit the parade with small children, please take a right onto Gilbert Street just before the LaGrange St. Bridge. All
motorized vehicles will disassemble on Armory Road, and walking groups will disband on the lawn of the high school. Please stay a car length between you and the group in front of you. Floats will NOT be judged in the 4th of July parade. DO NOT throw anything candy or otherwise, from vehicles. You may pass items out, if you wish. This is a very important safety issue – we do not want children to run into the street or into the path of a moving vehicle. The Newnan Rotary Club will offer entertainment and fireworks directly following the parade at Newnan High School.
Tractors and All small trucks & cars should line up single file on the far right side of Jackson Street no later than 5:30 p.m. You will be fed into the parade with walking groups. This is on a first come, first serve basis.

I have posted information on a few parades that I have registered for. If you have a parade closer to your home, please feel free to email me that information, but below are the ones I have actually registered Miss Georgia State and the local titles for.
ALL representatives, state and preliminary royalty, need to dress accordingly. Either state shirts with white shorts/skirts or anything patriotic. If adults are supervising, please also wear anything patriotic.
Crowns and sashes
Please make two signs for the cars with your title and name.
If you are able to obtain a convertible or truck, please let me know, we do have some older and younger contestants that do not have a ride.
I will post space numbers that may be provided next week. There is definately not a space number for Oxford, but I will post if there is any on the rest.

July 4th parades! We do attend Newnan and Douglasville. I will post more information soon, both in the AM. Attire will be Miss Georgia State T shirts, white bottoms, crowns and sashes. You are welcome to also wear anything patriotic. If parents are going to ride, please also dress appropriately in patriotic colors.
I also have a pageant on July 4th at the Georgia International Horse park... we will introduce the queens on stage at the event at 6:15. If you are interested in coming, please just let me know.

We will be attending the Special Olympics again just as we have in the past. Mrs. Marus has attached all the required information, please be sure to abide by all of her requirements. If you have any questions, please email me at info@missgeorgiastate.com
This has always been a very memorable experience for our queens, one you will not want to miss.
We will meet at 6:30 pm at the Emory University field (see attire requirements below)Please let me know if you plan to attend as soon as possible so that I can let Mrs. Marus know of a number to expect.
GEORGIA STATE SUMMER SPECIAL OLYMPICS
TITLE HOLDER INVITATION
It is once again time for The Georgia State Special Olympic Summer Games. As has been the custom in the past, the games organizing committee has asked for Title Holders to escort the athletes in the Opening Ceremony Parade.
The Summer Special Olympics Opening Ceremony takes place on the beautiful campus of Emory University. The Parade of Athletes and Coaches will be Friday evening May 29, 2009, line up will begin at 6:45 pm in the Quad. Park in Peavine Parking Deck and follow the signs.
Our goal is to have a lovely lady in a beautiful crown to walk with each athlete as they parade into the venue. The invitation is open to ladies of all systems, however we are asking only ladies 13 and up plan on walking in the Parade of Athletes. Do keep in mind that before and after the actual ceremony is a great time for our younger title holders to share autographs, hugs and photo opportunities. We would like to have as many title holders as would be willing to participate.
If you have never participated in this event, you are in for a treat. The special athletes LOVE ladies in crowns!! Come prepared to give and receive hugs, have lots of pictures taken with the “Star Athletes”, and be ready to sign autographs
Be sure to dress casual but “cute.” No jeans or shorts please. Capri pants or conservative sun dresses are great. Wear your crown (and banner if you have one), and bring Crown Pictures if available as they are a favorite with the athletes. Don’t forget to bring a sharpie for autographs, program and picture signing.
Please come with a heart of Service, always keeping in mind that this is all about the Athletes. Thanks in advance for participating and bringing a smile to the faces of these wonderful and inspirational people.

This is a reminder email for the Miss Carroll County and Miss Mayfest pageant to be held Friday May 1st at the
Pilot Auditorium

I will begin registration at 6:00 and start competition at 7:00. We have around 20 contestants, so wil run thru all competition and then crown...
If you could have your photos ready to turn in at registration with the contestants name and age on the back. These photos will be returned to you after competition.
There is a $5 admission per person with exception of the contestants.
I have also added a people's choice to this event! This is something we wanted to try to let the audience judge their favorite contestant. No one qualified for the ambassador title at this event, but we have the awards! Tickets are $1 each, so tell your visiting family and friends. The winning contestant will receive a 5 foot trophy, VERY LARGE beautiful crown and a Miss Carroll County ambassador title sash!!!
There will no longer be a professional photographer at our events. We have had one the last few and I dont find it as helpful as I thought. Be sure to take LOTS of pictures and submit those in a small format to me and I will get them on the website. If you have noticed a change in the website lately, they locked up on me. I had to copy and save all the photos and start over. I have worked on these for 4 days and will have it all restored!
Also, please remember that MAYFEST in Carrollton is an all day event on the square. I would love to get the girls together and attend on Saturday AM. If you are able to attend, please let me know!

I am still searching for a package for tomorrow, so may be runing late. I beleive all participants in the parade have their own car or truck, if not I know that there are two trucks and a few cars involved, so there will be plenty to ride with! You can go ahead and line up when you get there. They did not give a number or registration for the parade, they stated you just line up at the park and it starts at 2:00... I will look for all! The parade lineup will begin at 1:00 at the Rayford Roberts Memorial Ballpark on Broad Street. They will begin line up at 1:00 and begin at 2:00.. all that would like to attend are welcome. Make two signs with your contestants name and title, wear something spring and cute with crowns and sashes!

The parade is Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 pm. If you think you may attend, please email me so that I can enter the appropriate amount of cars.

This is a very spacious beautiful remodeled auditorium with an all new designed theatre that has also developed an acoustical plan for the auditorium. The performances should be wonderful.

Friday, December 19th. We will meet at 5:45 on the square in Newnan. Locate the Bake Sale, we have a number of girl and their parents that are volunteering for this event. If you have anything that can be donated to the bake sale, please let us know. Registration for the Caroling will be at 6:00 pm. We will participate in the Caroling as well as the other events around the square that evening. Attire will be something warm and holiday, sashes and crowns.

We will be registering for the 2008 Miss Georgia Holiday and Princess pageant on Saturday, December 13th at 9:00 am. We will register until 10:00 am. Below is the address of the event for directions, please use mapquest.
Newnan High School 190 Lagrange Street Newnan Georgia 30263
We will begin the beauty competition at 10:00 am with the baby division. We will do the individual competition per group, then a small group line up. The continue with the next group until the Mrs Division. After your group line up, you can change into your holiday wear. We will then compete the individual competitions with no group line up in Holiday wear. We will then crown the beauty and holiday portion of the pageant. The princess' contestants will be allowed then to change into their princess t shirt and blue jean attire. They will then introduce themselves on stage. We will award our princess contestant immediately following.
Please have your photos labeled with the contestants name and age on the back, additional photos submit will be only $5 each.
There is a door admission of $5 per person other than the contestants, toddlers or babies.
Balances should be paid in cash only the day of the pageant.
Our princess' will be invited to show off their beautiful official Miss America Crown at the 2009 Miss West Georgia Pageant to be held in conjunction with the Miss Newnan Pageant on Saturday, February 14th. These contestants will be introduced on stage at this event, we will also be crowning more princess' that day. The Princess pageant was only open to ages 4-12, however, there is low participation in this portion of the event on Saturday. We will still be awarding our 4-12 princess that will be invited to participate in the Miss West Georgia events. The 4-12 division will be competing still in the official T shirt that will be given to you at registration and they will introduce themselves on stage. The contestants will be judged on beauty and stage presence. The winner will be crowned Miss West Georgia Princess and will receive the official crown and sash. This winner will also be presented on stage the night of the Miss West Georgia Program and will make appearances all year with Miss West Georgia and our outstanding teen. This contestant is also invited to attend the 2009 Miss Georgia Pageant in June in Columbus Georgia to participate on stage.
***We will also be awarding another official Miss America Princess crown, and this will be open to any contestant in the pageant. There is a $35 princess entry fee that will apply, however, the attire will be blue jeans and any solid color shirt. (this is open to ages 0-3) the contestants will be judged on personality and beauty. This contestant will receive the official crown and beautiful title sash. Again, if you have not entered this, it is not too late to do so. You may enter the day of the event. This contestant will not make appearances but will be named as the official Miss West Georgia Tiny Miss Princess and will also be introduced at this Miss West Georgia Pageant. If you would like to enter this, please email me back and I will place them on the agenda.
Remember, the beauty portion will be the first event, second will be holiday wear and we will crown in our holiday wear. Those that are entered into the princess pageant, will remain after.
We will have a professional photographer on hand for photos and videos.
There was also very little participation on submitting photos for the program book, so we will do what we can do set up a program. This was just for an additional fun, but I beleive with the holidays coming up, there are a lot of busy people and photos just were not ready to be submitted.
Thank you so much for attending this years event, and our first appearance will be Friday, December 19th in Newnan. We will also have our very own Miss West Georgia, Jessica Scott, performing in Newnan outside the courthouse on Saturday, December 20th from 4:00 to 5:00. You must come see this performance and get your photo made with Miss West Georgia. Jessica is also competing in the Miss Georgia Pageant in June, so we wish her the best of luck!

Hello everyone! I have heard back from those people that are going to participate in the Newnan Parade on Sunday! We will plan to meet at our location at 1:30. I have provided my cell phone as well and do have everyone's contact information. I think the great turnout is fabulous. If you do not know yet of a car, please contact me as their seems to be plenty of transportation.
If there are ANY further questions about any event, please contact me and not the vendor hosting the event. If you are going to contact a vendor, please do not represent this system... I have provided adequate information for this event and do not feel that contacting City hall is appropriate when they are also being contacted about 100 other participants. For further events through out the year, please contact me prior to representing your titles in any event.
For further events on the Newnan Schedule, I have provided a list below and I am also working with Ashley Park for further appearances. Again, please contact me prior to representing this system.
Sunday, December 7th, we will be participating in the Christmas parade.... information is posted on the message board and you should have received the email. Further information will be posted on the message board and all details will be obtained thru there until I get the yahoo group finalized...
December 19th. We will be attending the festivities in Newnan for a fun evening to participate in the events they have planned thru the city and to represent our titles throughout the event. The "group" will be participating in Caroling that evening. I will register the group and we wil have a specific meeting place for all to meet at 6:00. I will post this information prior to the 19th, just plan on meeting on the square at 6:30 on December 19th. I will post the meeting place towards the end of next week, just please check the message board for all information, you will find your answers before the time arrives... We will not be participating as a group in the night time parade. Again, please contact me prior to making appearances that represent this system on your own.
December 20th. Miss Jessica Scott and other entertainment associated with the Miss West Georgia pageant system will be performing Saturday, December 20th from 4-5 pm in front of the courthouse. If you would like to wear your crowns and sashes and come watch, you are more than welcome to!
THE ATTIRE FOR ALL OF THE DECEMBER EVENTS IS TO DRESS WARM, HOLIDAY COLORS, CROWNS AND SASHES. IF YOU ARE ENTERING THE PARADE WITH YOUR CHILD AND PLAN TO BE A PART OF IT, PLEASE ALSO DRESS ACCORDINGLY. We will plan to meet at the public parking lot by cuty hall, on the corner of Spring Street and First Avenue (Behind City Hall and next to Musicology). We will meet at 1:30 and move towards the parade at 1:45. 2008 Covington Christmas Parade For Newton County Celebrate The Seasons And Salute The Troops
11:00 AM Saturday, December 6, 2008...Downtown Covington
Make plans to march, play, ride, or dance in the holiday parade.
We are going to have a parade like we have never had before.
Line up on Newton Drive, Enter ONLY from Mill St.
Parade Moves Newton Dr (W) to Anderson to Floyd St. West on Floyd through Covington Square on Clark Street, (L) on Lee Street, (L) on Washington and east to East Street.
Parade Divides: Walkers will turn (L) on East and proceed off the road to Floyd and then to Anderson (Avoiding Parade as end may still beginning) Floats, vehicles, and horses will turn right on East to 1st street and (L) on Thompson**. Proceed to Mill Street , Go (L) on Mill Street across Floyd and back to Newton Drive. **Those not needing to return to lineup area may leave parade here and proceed to Conyers Street.
Rules and Regulations:
To insure a safe and successful parade, parade participants must adhere to the following.
1) No one will be allowed to drive a vehicle in the parade without a valid Georgia Drivers License and must be over the age of 18. No tractor-trailers allowed.
2) When children are riding on floats and vehicles they must be accompanied by a minimum of two adults
3) It is requested that all entries be decorated to theme.
4) Participants who act, use music, or language that is deemed to be offensive by the organizers
(Covington Lion’s Club & Main Street) will be removed from the parade.
5) All entries must be lined up and in position as directed by the committee no later than 10.30am. If you want your entry judged you must be in the line-up by 9:30am.
6) One decorated float is allowed per entry, unless the committee has granted prior approval.
7) Candy cannot be thrown from floats. Walkers through the parade route can pass out candy or favors.
8) Drivers of all vehicles will adhere to parade committee instructions at all times and will follow the directions of the parade route, maintaining a distance of 30 feet between vehicles.
9) Participants are to have an easily read banner with the groups name on right side of the vehicle. A parade number will be issued at the line-up.
10) All animals must be on a leash or rein at all times. Liability is owner’s responsibility.
11) There is to be only one Santa in the parade, he is the guest of Main Street Covington, the City of Covington, and the Covington Lion’s Club.
12) Distribution of handbills, pamphlets and other literature is prohibited without the organizing committee’s permission.
13) Rules and liability waiver signed.
Participants failing to adhere to these rules may be removed from the parade

Newnan, Sunday, December 7th Christmas Parade 3:00 pm, downtown Newnan... we will make plans to meet at 1:30 then line up. Attire is christmas attire with sashes and crowns. If you have access to a convertible, please contact me... if you have a nice truck, please contact me... you will also need two signs with the royalty name and title on them, christmas decorations and I will have some as well. I have completed the necessary paperwork for this event.
Newnan festival of Lights Weekend! December 19th and 20th ....Another great opportunity for you to show off your titles! Remember to that you can print 4 x 6 photos of your royalty and sign them and hand them out, this is great for your queen to feel like a queen! Any Teen and Miss Royalty that would like to donate their time to this event, please feel free to contact me... we will help with wrapping gifts, Caroling (if you can sing! lol) and other things needed by the community... this is a time to donate our times as royalty and turn it into a fun appearance as well!
December 20th, Festival of Lights parade! We will enter into this event with any trucks that we can and we will bring the lights and generator for this event. I am also trying to work on a float for this event, so check back here for details... if you would like to participate, please contact me.

We have brought back our crowning pin program for anyone who would like to participate... if you have any questions that are not covered here, please email me..
You can earn crowning pins all year long after you compete in your first Miss Georgia state event! Once you have competed once (regardless of how you placed) you can earn your pins!
For each appearance, each time you submit photos after a pageant, each time to compete in another event, each time you attend a parade.... you earn a pin!
These pins are awarded at the end of the 2008-2009 season along with your finalist sash! The pins are specially made and the contestants that have entered the crowning pin program all qualify to be presented on the pins!
For example:
If your first event was Miss North Georgia.. you can then earn your pins
*if you competed at Miss Douglasville you earn that pin
*if you participated in a parade, you earn that pin
*if you made an appearance on your own, you earn that pin
*if you submitted photos after a pageant, you earn that pin
etc... In May 2009 if you are participating in earning these pins, you will fill out the form that will be online... keep up with the things you have participated in.. and you will be eleigible to be the model for a crowning pin! More information on that portion will be posted on the website as well....
Here are just a few rules, but all of the details will be posted on the website....
-All appearance you do on your own must be an organized public event that has to do with your local town or community and must be approved by us first. Photos after the event are mandatory.
-Photos submitted after events only include the events in which we do not have a photographer on site
-if you have presented your photo in the newspaper as a winner or participant in our pageants, parades or appearances you also earn a pin...
look for the information on the website starting this weekend and more ways you can earn your pin!

I can not longer receive large photos and cut them down, please no larger than 50kb, it takes much too long to cut the photos down, upload and post... I love getting them though! So keep that up!
I will also be sending information on how to earn crowning pins for appearances and how to be presented on the yearly crowning pin!

This is a wonderful Christmas parade and this year, everyone in the surrounding area is invited to participate! All of the wonderful titles.. Miss Newnan, Miss Carroll, all of the Powers Crossroad titles, Miss West Georgia titles!
This will be the second year of the Main Street Newnan’s Festival of Lights Parade. This parade is a fully lit, night event held in addition to the normal Christmas Parade. It will be held the evening of Saturday, December 20th at 8 p.m. as a final finale to a weekend of events including our Community Wide Bake Sale and Caroling on Friday evening.
HERE IS THE INFORMATION ON THE PARADE AND FESTIVITIES
Since this is still a new event, I wanted to make you aware that Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is selling all of their Christmas decorations from their Festival of Trees. The sale began this morning (Friday) until 2:30 and will continue tomorrow, 7:30 – 2:00. It is located in Newnan. Go past Go-Kart World on Carrollton Highway. Take the next right and follow it out to a warehouse. I am sorry that I don’t have a better name.
They have TONS of lights (all colors), greenery, some large commercial pieces, costumes, and even a 25 foot tree!

Happy almost Fourth! Thank you for your participation in the 2008 Fourth of July Parade.
We have changed the location for the float line up. It will be on Cavender Street between Papp Clinic and the old Newnan Hospital.
There will be a City of Newnan Police Officer available to assist you. Cars and single axle trucks will line up on Jackson Street in the far right lane.
If you are in a tow truck or tractor trailer, you are considered a float – please line up on Cavender. Motorcycles will gather in McKoon Funeral Homes driveway and begin the parade.

line up is at tennis courts in front of college from 9:00 TO 10:00. The parade start usually between 10-10:30
last year it was about 1 -1 1/2 long,
bring lots and lots of candy, there are lots of kids, you go in front of lots of houses, and down main street, so you can throw out candy to plenty of people.

One of the parents at the Dallas Pageant took a lot of photos at the event. He was not hired to do so, and parents were WELCOME to take there own photos as well. It was never announced there was going to be a photographer but I thought since he took so many and such great ones, that you all may like to know. If you did not take your own, it was merely a suggestion that you may want to look at his site... if the photos are not to your liking at all, please feel free to submit your own, I would love to get them on the site and in the newspaper!

Just a quick reminder for those that would like to participate in any of the parade events.
-Please make two signs with your royalty name and title for the car as well as any other patriotic decorations you may want to add.
-Please dress in comfortable cool patriotic attire with crowns and sashes.
-We will find out the rules for throwing candy prior, but please plan on bringing a basket full of candy to distribute.
-If you can locate a convertible this is extremely helpful. We can place up to three queens in any convertible with the younger girls sitting in the middle. If you plan on walking with your queen or riding, please dress patriotic as well so that we are uniform and show our patriotic spirit!
If you plan on participating in any event, please get in touch with me. I am sure the queens would like to get together with one another for each event!
