I think you may be right. I just tried it, and I can't find a way back. But then it makes sense. In real space trips (like NASA moon landings) the rocket never has enough fuel to go back again.

If Zak had got there first, I suppose the girls could give him the fuse and boom box and audiotape, then he could do the rest himself after they left?

But the worst thing is, when I took screesnhots I completely missed the one from inside the bus when the girls are in space. Darn!

However, there may be a way out! When the girls are on the way home they say the journey will take two months. So Zloop, all you have to do is leave the game running for two months and see if you land on earth, then see if you can refuel and go back again.
