Though she has been very successful in hurdling & warying off past challenges with past newcomers like jaya, roselle, carol, bituin, anna, lani, atbp., and was able to come out victorious, it would be quite a different story now for she is not as young as she was a few years ago. And it is mostly with age that insecurity starts to sneak-in when it comes to showbiz. Though Regine is very supportive with these new artists, I'm sure the thought of "heto na ang mga batang aagaw ng trono ko", passes her mind every once in a while. This would be the greatest challenge for Regine. How to exit or lay-low in showbiz without seeming "laos" or referred to as a "has-been". She really, really, really needs a very good friend and advisor right now to kinda coach her on this state that she's in. She may need to talk to the likes of Sharon C, Vilma S or even Maricel S, who are still considered great artists even though they are not as big & busy as they used to be. Sorry if I'm making it look like it's time for Regine to retire. I know that she is still way ahead of her league and still has a lot to offer, but I think that at her age, she should already start considering this and start planning ahead. More power to Regine...
