Yes, I did know that about the Iwo Jima photo. And I think that's wrong too. It's staging the news. But back then, it was propoganda. I know why it was done, but I don't agree with it.
I don't want people to think that I think messing with a high school football coin toss is sacrilege. Is it huge in the grand scheme of things? Well, to the folks in Rochester and Monaca, yes...but that's not the issue.
The issue is that the cameraman staged the news because he missed it, and then passed it off to viewers as the actual coin toss.
For the folks who see nothing wrong with that, I really have to question their ethics if they're in journalism.
