Why does John M almost always have the same guests on, and why do they almost always say the same things night after night? Are those the only people on speaking terms with John M? Do others refuse to appear on the show?

Eddy Crow is appealingly strange.

Nothing on the station is as hilarious as the Sunday-morning recipe show, though. When I first started listening, I thought the show was a parody. I eventually realized that the small supermarket chain does in fact exist. The funniest thing I ever heard on KDKA was during the Kuhn's hour: the topic of the week was soups, and the always endearing Rob Pratte asked, "How about desserts? Can you make any desserts with soup?" Rob Pratte is an undervalued presence on KDKA--completely unpredictable, childlike in his enthusiasm, and a joy to listen to. The only other first-rate program is the Hefren-Tilotson program; the advice Jim Meredith offers is always worth listening to.

Except for Crow, Pratte, Meredith, and Moore, though, the station is wasting its signal.
