Doug Hoerth was and shall remain one of the best radio talents Pittsburgh has ever seen.
Part of his shtick was you never knew what he would say next, with a lot of predictable stuff that worked.
He was great, and I liked him a lot. But then again, there’s no explanation why some people like the taste of pickle juice.
The last entertainer who could connect one on one as the great names in radio are able to do, was Dr. Knowledge on KDKA.
Today there is NOBODY but liner card readers who cannot carry a show in a dump truck.
