Radioman is correct. The Fan carries CBS NFL radio broadcasts, along with Pitt Football and Basketball. When there is a scheduling conflict, the network NFL broadcast gets bumped over to KDKA-AM. It's all part of the pre-designed agreement. That said, there's no doubt that some or many of the NFL broadcasts aren't of interest to listeners, but it's just how the broadcasting agreement is designed.
