I just came home from the concert, which i believe to be the BEST EVER CONCERT of our SONGBIRD, MS. REGINE VELASQUEZ. All production numbers are really superb. For the very first time, Regine wore a bikini, covered with sheer beaded gown. The first number showed her wearing a long gown worn in maskara parade, with matching mask, with the magician Eric Mana doing tricks while she sang "Could This Be Magic" by Barry Manilow. Afterwards she went out of the stage leaving only Eric as he covered himself with a black cloth, and whoala, he cast a spell and Regine came out of the cloth instead, singing "Toxic" only wearin a pink tanga, same worn in Bridget Jones Diary sans the bunny cap. Then, she was covered with clothes that turned out a beautiful gown, and sang a medley "Tuwing Umuulan", "Pangako", and "Dadalhin Kita" while the stage was pelted with rain... After that number, she sang "Di Bale Na lang" with Andrew E. on the house; then the stage turned spring where frolic leaves fell, and she sang "Minsan LAng Kita Iibigin" then "Pangako Ko'y Ikaw" wearing the beaded see-through sheer gown . She then left the stage and season turned summer, dancers pranced, then Sarah came in singing her "Forever's Not Enough", then Sheryn walked in singing "Come On In Out Of The Rain", then Kyla belted out with her version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (Among the three, Kyla's number is the most applauded. Someone from the audience even shouted "Kyla, you're the next Songbird!") - by the way, all of them wore yellow gowns - then came in our Songbird wearing a beautiful long gown singing "In Your Eyes", then the three girls started singing Regine's winning piece "No Way I'm Living Without You" , and then they all belted out together with our Songbird. After that number, Regine sang "Ako'y Iyong-Iyo" as she went down the stage to have picture taking session with the fans. Ogie sang a couple of lines too. Then she went upstage again and sang "Awit Ko, Para Sa Iyo". Then the stage turned autumn, and Songbird came back to sing "Say That You Love Me". She then started singing "Tell Me", and Ariel came from the audiece place. She then acknowldged Ariel jokingly as her "ex", and the audience roared in laughter, then she sang "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" with Jasmine Trias (the latter's mtv was shown in video wall) . Then she sang an opm cut from her album "Covers" with dancers flying behind her using long white cloths, and then left the stage. The stage was filled with snow, and blizzard set in. Francis showed up and sang "Reason", and then Regine wearing a catwoman inspired suit sang with him the song used in "Dare Devil" movie. Then she was dressed up with a red gown once more to cover that catwoman tight-fitted attire, and she started thanking BOSS VIC of VIVA, GMA KAPUSO NETWORK, her PARENTS and her FANS. (At this point, she was emotionally crying.) She was then backed up by the PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA and started singing a medley: "Can This Be My Miracle", "I Believe I Can Fly", and the theme song of the latest "American Idol". Then she sang "In The Name Of Love". She had two encore numbers, the first was a Michael Jackson Medley, yeah you're right. Regine danced in a Michael Jackson inspired suit! She was really a great dancer. She even did the "MOONWALK DANCE" and the "THRILLER DANCE". Then her second and last encore number was "Shine" which everyone in the audiece sang with her. Araneta was really jampacked! I've seen all Regine's concert, and i would say this is the BEST. She did production numbers you couldn't imagine her doing it, and she did it SUPERB. The stage was really innovative. HI-TECH! The musical arrangement was really marvelous. Raul Mitra is the BEST! The show started 9pm, and ended almost 11:30pm. . One true thing this concert showed is that Regine is truly unbeatable. REGINE STILL REIGNS!!! Regine Fan S.O. Guys, it was the San Miguel Chorale that backed up Regine in her Medley number: "Miracle", "I Believe I Can Fly", and "I Beleive" of Fantasia; and the song "In The Name Of Love", and not the Philharmonic Orchestra which i earlier posted. Another history was made by our own songbird...The concert was again awesome as it was and it will ever be...Regine cried not for a disappointment but I think merely because she was thankfull for the response given to her by us (her fans), her parents, showbiz family...Despite of the negative write ups... Regine Velasquez is Regine Velasquez...God bless her always...Our SONGBIRD does reign forever in our hearts.... I watched on the second night, and it was truly jaw-dropping!! My goodness.... hanggang ngayon di pa rin maalis sa isip ko lahat ng mga unforgettable performances nya, especially the new divas medley with Sarah, Sheryn and Kyla; the explosive Could This Be Magic opening with (the gorgeous) Eric Mana; the inspirational medley (My Miracle, I Believe I Can Fly, and Fantasia Barrino's I Believe with the San Miguel Master Chorale); and the showstopping SHINE as the encore finale!!!!!!!!!
