I think Lea is the only best Filipina performer among others. She can sing any song perfectly with her voice without belting and screeaming or shouting. She does'nt need to sing very high notes to impress, Just a simple Carpenters song wouldnt be boring to hear over and over again. and even if you wanna turn up the volume, di pa rin masakit sa tenga. I just observed sa mga local shows, always biritan, no one really appreciates a good voice without it. Parang iisa lang and standard ng mga local talents. Those who cannot do birit but have a nice voice are left behind. Maybe this is the reason why only artist like Lea is appreciated by International audience. I don't mean to say that Regine is not appreciated worldwide, maybe she is, nagkalat naman kasi ang Pinoy worldwide. Ofcourse, foreign artist like bryan mcknight and Legrand would praise her since they're doing shows with her locally. But the way i see it. pang Pinoy lang talaga ang taste ng talent ni Regine. i'm sorry to say sa mga fans nya, but you cannot insist that she can be better internationally.

hmm... this is pure opinion with little basis. As broadway musical performer, no doubt. But you have to know that even Cameron Macintosh was impressed with Regine's voice he offered her the role of Kim. That means, Regine has a voice that even broadway cannot resist.

Again, Lea's recordings commercially speaking is not as successful as that of Regine's. I still have to hear that her most recent outing had fared well.

Just because Lea is a world class broadway performer (an award-winning at that) doesn't make her "...THE ONLY BEST FILIPINA SINGER AMONG OTHERS..." because you have to beyond your opinion. You have to show points what makes her..."THE ONLY BEST FILIPINA SINGER.." and by that show her accomplishments beyond broadway musical.

We all recording-wise, still has yet to be proven.

As for Regine, my opinion would not be "...THE ONLY BEST FILIPINA SINGER AMONG OTHERS..." but it would be, "REGINE IS THE TOP PERFORMING FEMALE PERFORMER IN THE COUNTRY- BEING A SUPERB SINGER, A CONCERT PERFORMER, PRODUCER, HOSTS, ACTRESS, DESIGNER, STORY WRITER- A MULTIMEDIA ARTIST PERSONIFIED!".

sigh...
