" Pinoy Bad Brother- Psychologist from Bulacan
( Regine's home province ) Speaks About PBB "

mmJun :
Boy Abunda says the show reflects what we all are today.

I don't need to be a high-rated psychologist to tell
you that Abunda is showing signs of being crazy by
the way he talks crazy. Pay more attention to the
things he says out of the blue and you'll know
what I mean. This is NOT the first time he said
something that send up the red flags before.

Note: Why post things like this? Because I think
we all need to figure out why he's been trying to
destroy some of our most talent music artists and
why he's trying to keep it a big national secret
too. Why hide it if its what you want to do?

"Lift Up Your Hands "

Meanwhile this was posted from the Inquirer
newspaper that says a few things about the
show "Pinoy Big Brother" :

FROM psychologist-educator Lorenzo S. Abacon of Meycauayan,
Bulacan: "One of the main assets of 'Pinoy Big Brother' is its theme
song, which has the power to elicit one's sense of pride in being
Filipino, without being mushy or trite in its approach.

"Another plus point is its effort to familiarize the viewing public
with a new genre which, in turn, can broaden its horizons. Likewise,
it is able to prove that a show can click even without big stars.

"However, these plus points are eclipsed by the following indirect
messages that the program intentionally or unintentionally conveys:"

"1) It is cool to look into and talk about other people's
lives. 'PBB,' being a 'teleserye ng tunay na buhay,' can be a
training ground for its followers to be likewise keen on watching and
discussing the lives of their kapitbahay, kasama sa opisina, etc.

"2) There is nothing wrong about being a friend to their housemates
on weekdays, then being responsible for their eviction on weekends.

"3) Just obey in order to be rewarded. The housemates have to follow
all of Big Brother's orders whatever time he wants, even if this
means losing their privacy, since the bottom line here is the show's
material rewards.

"4) Maximum body exposure as compensating tool for minimal talents.
The housemates' 'concert' last Oct. 10 attests to this: the majority
of them, especially the girls, lacked talent in singing and dancing,
so they tried to offset them by donning scanty dresses and moving
sexily.

"As a whole, it can be said that 'PBB' thrives on controversy, but
not on quality."

i fully agree of what the writers wrote about the PBB...
before i liked to watched PBB but because I was a kin observer
I found out that this so called reality based show is not
a real reality based show.... if you are talking of a reality,
the show particularly the cast must be free from any external
variables (commands from outside -host, fans, etc.)... they
must move and live according to their will not by the will
of others...at kung titignang mabuti, Pinoy Big Brother is
infact far from the meaning of a reality based show...
just what happened before, Uma was warned not to talked
about the "tinggil".... if it was indeed a true reality
based show they must allow the participants to shout foul
words be naked infront of monitors if they liked to
and etc....hindi iniisip dapat whether your a filipino
or not..... since wala naman tayong magagawa dahil
karamihan ng viewers ng PBB ay masyadong mababaw and
lets accept it hindi sila concerned about the future
, para pigilan sila...its up to theem to carry the risk...
basta tayo we tried our best to inform them about
the possible consequences...

That's an example of a sharp-thinking fan to meh.

Manny said:
I am totally against PBB. Here are the reasons:

1. The show promotes dependency and robotic existence
as the Big Brother directs the lives of the
participants.

2. The show's impact on the viewers to dream of
entering PBB house. Why? because you will be an
instant sensation if you were chosen as participant.
Pinoy should aim to be better as themselves without
the celebrity status plus the fact it is very
comforatable to live inside the PBB house- you can eat
without working hard and just have fun.

3. The show encourages viewers, particularly the youth
to believe that it is okay to be a bum; people in the
PBB house do not work to earn a living.

4. The show promotes a distorted/warped view on Pinoy
life... Filipinos live in a community not inside one
house.

5. The show thrives on shallow/petty issues. Filipinos
suffer because of poverty, EVAT, violence etc. The
show is being used to divert people's attention on the
pressing socisl ills the nation is into right now.

6. People should not idolize ordinary folks without
talents or heroism. We have to be inspired by
exemplary individuals who have demostrated virtues and
made the filipino race proud.
