Subject: Predictable GMA 55th Anniversary Show Author: jill [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:58:44 06/26/05 Sun It's GMA's 55th anniversary and I expected that everything will be grand especially the production numbers...It's just so sad that all the great talents/artists that GMA has was put to waste with very predictable numbers. I mean part 1 of GMA's anniversary last night was very ordinary, nothing special about it, nothing that I had never seen before...I kind of like the idea that there was a red carpet but then the show failed to give me that kick...The only reason I stayed up late was to wait for Regine's performance...Anyway, the stage was nice to look at but it limited the movement of the performers on stage. It was like everyone was afraid to mess up the flowers (that served as a delineation mark on the stage). And please stop that old trick na habang may kumakanta ng theme song ng soap opera e patatayuin yung cast sa stage na parang mannequins...I mean these are good artists and I'm sure they can find something better to do or present than to just stand there as the theme songs are being sung. Pati tuloy yung singers sira ang blocking sa stage...SA sobrang haba ng 55 years ng GMA at sa dami ng magagandang memories of those years, hindi ba nainspire ang writers at director ng show to come up with a better concept?...Pero kapuso pa rin ako syempre, I just want to see better shows lalo na pag anniversary gaya ngayon. Jill speaks a music truth very plainly. "Predictable" may be the word I been looking for to express the way I been feeling when I watch S.O.P. these days.
