JUST FOR ONCE, LET US STOP SQUABBLING OVER PETTY ISSUES WE'VE BEEN HOUNDING OURSELVES FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS. OUR BELOVED SONGBIRD, REGINE VELASQUEZ, FACES A NEWER TRIAL IN HER LIFE AGAIN... REGINE FACES RAP CHARGES ON TAX EVASION. MEDIA ALREADY DRAG HER NAME UNNECESSARILY. REGINE IS BEING SUBJECT TO TRIAL BY PUBLICITY. IT IS TRULY UNFAIR, THAT SHE WAS NOT HERE TO FACE HER ACCUSERS AND MADE A CLEAR STATEMENTS AND YET, NEWS TABLOIDS UNWANTINGLY MOCKED HER, BY PUTTING A CRYING PICTURE OF REGINE TAKEN FROM ONE OF HER MOVIES AND THEN STRAPPED IT WITH A HEADLINE ON TAX EVASION CHARGES. IT IS NOW, MORE THAN EVER, THAT WE GET OUR HEADS TOGETHER, AND PRAY FOR HER STRENGTH TO REMAIN UNSCATHED AND WIN THIS BATTLE. BATTERED THOUGH THAT SHE IS FROM COUNTLESS ATTACKS GIVEN HER, SHE REMAIN STANDING, TALL & PROUD. BUT I SEE THAT THIS NEW ONE IS MORE THAN SHE IS UP FOR. BIR officials are just doing this so Regine would negotiate with them and make a cash settlement. It's all but a scam of BIR officials. Siempre they know that Regine makes a lot of money, and they need her income tax returns for this year para makapagbili sila ng bagong kotse and other properties. Wala 'to. Ang panget nga lang, they (BIR) just freely released information to the public against Regine who is outside the Philippines right now. Sobrang unethical ang BIR. Regine should sue them for releasing information about her that should be strictly personal and confidential, like her income for the year of 7.7 million. That information should be confidential, but BIR freely released it to the public as if it's just an information that everyone should know about. That is totally violating the rules of confidentiality. And to think that Regine is not there in the Philippines to make her rebuttal on their allegations, and to defend and clear her name, just shows how very opportunistic BIR is and how they are totally taking advantage of the situation. They should have waited for Regine first to explain her side before they made statements to the public. The acts that they have taken so far are totally inappropriate and premature. How can we help the Songbird? Simply by praying for her, and to send emails to everyone you know, telling them how unfair and unethical BIR's actions are. Feel free to copy what I said if you like.
