" A Rip-Roaring Concert review PAID by Reg's Publicist "

The publicist of the Pops and Regine U.S. tour wisely
keeps his personal thoughts in check this time after
the incredible lapse in jugement he made in the last
article he wrote about Regine. The one where he wouldn't
say Faith Cuneta's name and even hinted something about
" Regine learned the hard way that she cannot be better
than anyone .." which I believe he was referring to
himself. Maybe the tax issue and the Maxi-media suit
are two of his latest influenced media shams against
her to try to remind her about what he said.

grrrr..

My series of articles that expose the real Abunda is
our way of telling him he is going to learn the same
lessons the harder way that no one gets to do that to
Regine without the Regine fans and us having something
to say about it!

A rip-roaring concert
DIRECTLINE By Boy Abunda
The Philippine Star 05/03/2005

Pops Fernandez and Regine Velasquez just wrapped up a rip-roaring
concert tour in the US that included shows in San Diego April 1, Los
Angeles April 2, Las Vegas April 8, San Francisco April 9, Chicago
April 15, Atlantic City April 17, and Washington DC April 23. Erik
Santos was their special guest.

Excerpts from a review written by Josh Andowitt:

After seeing the first certified sold out concert in San Diego and
Los Angeles, I am giving this concert two thumbs way up.

Queens on Fire has given us all the bells and whistles we truly
deserve. From the costumes to the set design, the lights to the
visuals, the music and the well-thought-out numbers to the
repertoire, everything is simply amazing! Even Epicureans will agree
hard work and labor of love were the driving forces of this event.

Concert Queen Pops Fernandez should be accorded a new moniker. She
should not just be called Concert Queen but the "Sexiest" Concert
Queen. Watching her groove, move and strut made us wonder how she
can manage to be so sexy and devastatingly beautiful after two kids.

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, like Pops, was at her best.
Better known as a power belter and excellent in singing ballads
and love songs, she was simply breathtaking. Her interpretation
of Fantasia Barrino’s I Believe was astonishing. She belted as
high as she could and for long as she wanted. One cannot help
but think how she, like Moet and Chandon’s Dom Perignon
Champagnc, can be so good after all these years.

Prince of Pop Erik Santos, Queens On Fire’s special guest
at first looked nervous, tentative and overwhelmed. Yet, once he
opened his mouth and sang, he owned the stage and wowed us all.

When he sang his winning piece, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’s This is
the Moment, he has definitely erased my doubts on why he was
2003’s Star in a Million Grand Champion. His second song,
I Believe I Can Fly, was so enthralling it not only made us listen
but put us in a trance and believe we all can fly!

As his manger Boy Abunda would say, Mabuhay ka, Erik.

Bravo, Pops, Regine and Erik!

Take note:
===========

Why do you think he is posting this review by Josh Andowitt?
Ans- Because Jost the reviewer mentions both Boy Abunda's
name and his music ware Erik Santos, who is just a musical
guest but you couldn't tell that by the way writers are commenting
on him alot. ( and the way he was being billed ) More than they
should in fact.

So its only fair to let you know that this review like most of them
are/were paid for. And it is the media publicist for the tour that
takes care of that. Possibly writing alot of it out for them so all
they really have to do at times in add their name in it. I remember
one concert review on an artist that came out the day before
the show! An artist linked to this publicist.

Just so you'll know how it really is. -mmJun
