hi Robin and Stevo,

this is definitely interesting, logically dentists must have to use the highest available standard of MRI scanning. i didnt know about Digital MRI but it makes sense.

do you think there would be other fields in the medical world that would use this advanced method? surely there would be....thinking of things like Neurosciences and studies of the brain. i can find out more about this, as my brother works with MRI machines all the time in the study of cerebral neurology, so he would know what Digital MRI is i guess. i also have a good friend who works at the dentist, and his family own the place. if Digital MRI is being used at dentists and in other areas of medicine then they would know. so i'll definitely be asking them as soon as possible.

i had a question about the old site actually...there was one samll box of info on the main index page, i think it was 'Atypical Fracture Explanation', which mentioned a case study and said something along the lines of "sonography (ultrasound) seems pretty useless when diagnosing minor grades of penis fracture.......only MRI detected the problem in all 4 patients". do you still have that little box of info somewhere maybe?

i've researched a lot and know that the main innervation of the penis is from the dorsal nerve which runs on top of the penis shaft. i guess most MRI machines wouldn't detect nerves any less than 1mm in diameter as you said, but even if we're talking about really small nerves, you'd think that a standard MRI might not be able to detect the nerve itself, but would certainly show up something which was affecting it? for instance darker areas on the results
