For those of you that haven't been to our annual picnic before in July, this is the time where we ALL plan for the following year and hope that you will join us on June 19th at 4:30! (Please RSVP yes or no to Jessica O'Connell at jd.oconnell@gmail.com. We are going to be having a pot luck of main dishes, sides, etc. We will provide the drinks and paper products. Also she can give you directions.)
As this ministry continues to grow it can't be done without all the volunteers who make it what it is! This year we would love to have you ALL involved! Here is a list of all the volunteer opportunities for you to review.
Please take the time to pray about where God would have you serve and come ready to sign up on July 19th! We will have a poster for each of the categories below with a spot for each month for you to sign up! "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-24
Out of the Dirt Activities: This past year everyone really enjoyed getting together "Out of the Dirt." We had movie nights, beach days, and lots of pot lucks. We would love for you to sign up to host and/or plan an "Out of the Dirt" activity either at your home, a park, the beach, or other location that allows us all to get together for a time of fellowship.
Out of the Dirt Dates (all Saturdays):
September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19, January 23, February 20, March 20, April 24, May 22
Campfire Games: Help Jessica O'Connell come up with and lead a campfire game that is suitable for families and a campfire atmosphere. One volunteer per month is needed.
Jackrabbits: Help Michelle Peltzer organize games, activities, and/or bible study lessons for the kids for Saturdays. We need one volunteer per month.
Trailboss: Being a trail boss is a great way to meet everyone in the group and really expose yourself to connecting! Don't let leading rides scare you off from being a trail boss. The trail boss organizes and coordinates the weekend activities. The following list is meant to help them so that everybody makes it to the camping spot and we all have a safe and fun weekend.
Verify that the chosen location is open for us to ride at least a month ahead of time so we can reschedule if need be. This responsibility can be shared among 2 individuals/families.
