> I stand by my original statement-you don't know what the fuck your talking about. Everything you quoted about "Asphyxia" is side effects of repeated, often repeated oxygen deprivation and throat trauma to the windpipe, by hanging or self-induced strangulation. I think I saw the exact article you quoted in "Reader's Digest" because some 14 year old hung himself playing "Space Monkey" or "The choking game" as they dubbed it. A properly done "Sleeperhold" in martial-arts terms is a "blood choke". It does not put pressure or trauma on the windpipe,or cause brain cell death, because of oxygen deprivation. It cuts off blood flow to the brain by closing the cartoid arteries which causes the faint, usually in 4 seconds or less,if done properly. Properly done their is no throat trauma,or physical damage from oxygen deprivation, because there was no oxygen deprivation. The person faints, and the second the pressure on the cartoid arteries is released, they wake up,with no ill effects. I know people who are seventh-degree black belts in Ju-Jitsu,who have been PROPERLY "choked out" numerous times in their fifteen or twenty year martial-arts competitive careers, who exhibit none of your "panic" signs, or "permanent" damage. I merely asked the question because one lady who played with sleepers said her neck hurt for days afterwards-a sure sign that the idiot trying to sleeper her did it wrong and put pressure on the windpipe instead of the arteries. I knew the answer but I wanted some feedback and maybe someone elses personal experiences. Did you think I would say-"Thanks-I stand corrected,I'll stop doing that." "You really changed my life." Get over yourself, and stop being such a know-it-all with shit you downloaded off the net. Jeez.
