Subject: News on the New Track

Hey you guys. For any of you racers that live near Little Rock, I have some good news on the State Fairgrounds Dragway. I know that many of you were expecting a track to be built this year but they decided to move the location of the track. Instead of building the track on the main way, they decided to build it on the back of the fairgrounds complex. The land there is much flatter and there is plenty of land to make an 1/8th mile track. The only bad news is that they do not plan on starting construction until next year, but at least we are getting a new track. Oh yeah, I have gotten all of info from the Track Events Manager, Mason.

Guys,

I have note taken the time to find your rules. My question is simply this. Can a true 10.5 car run in your Super Street class, I think it is(true 10.5s) with four link suspesnion? What about adding weight. We are set up for ORSCA limited street, and I didn't know if your rules were the same. Would love to come over from MS. but is a long haul to get bounced.

Thanks a lot for all your post supporting the races. I deleted them so there wouldnt be any confusion on the next 2 dates. Ok the next race is September 24th and the last race will be November 5th. I hope this doesnt conflict any big scheduled events in the area and everyone can make it out. I would love to have the biggest car count at the last race for sure to go out with a bang you know. But once again thanks a lot to all you guys for posting and supporting the series its only gonna go. Feel free to email or call me anytime you have any questions and hope to see all of you guys September 24th and November 5th. Thanks

Had quite a few bye-runs in the last race. Why not run them together at the next race. Spectators come to see racing--we would rather see 2 cars going down the track, not one!
.....sure would make the rounds more exciting than just sitting and watching so many bye-runs! Just a suggestion from a spectator's point of view......

To all the spectators that came out and held tight with us during the race THANKS A BUNCH!!!! You guys are the best spectators around and these races are certainly not possible without you guys. We had racers from all over the country roll in and put on the best show EVER by the Prescott Outlaws. To all my Racers you guys are the best group. I go into these races telling myself whatever happens stay positive and try and handle every situation the best you can. You guys joked with me and talked to me all night and that made things a lot easier on me and made me feel like things were going good. We had around 90 cars in all 8 classes and that is the best car count ever at a Prescott Outlaws Streetcar Shootout. The class rules are working out awesome thanks to every and their cooperation. Im working on things to make everything go as smoothly as possible. Let me know if you think things are getting better or worse. Just remember the message board is for better things my email is for worse haha just kidding but you guys know how that goes. The thing I love about having a series insted of a organization is that we bring in cars from all over and they all have different styles of racing and types of cars and I love to see that. The racers that have been attending our races this year have been the best group of guys and I thank each and every one of you guys for supporting this series and it will only continue to grow and get better with your great support.

Had a great time Saturday. It was one hell of a show. I believe the heat put the hurt on everyone. The 7.0 class was obviousely a big hit judging by the car count. Cole, I'm not trying to B%$#@ or whine, but when I came up to you on two different occasions after the first round of eliminations to inform you that you paired up the wrong two cars, according to the ladder, you totally blew me off. I really didn't care what you wanted to do about it. If you wanted to rerun the "correct" cars or let it be, I didn't really care. The last time I even showed you my timeslip to compare with the ladder. You saw you screwed up and just walked away, without saying anything, same as you did the first time. I'll just say that I am a business owner, and that is not how you do business. That was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! If you have a problem or screwed up, you do what you can to solve it. There was only four cars in eliminations in the first round because the other 15 or so had a bye run (which I still don't understand what was up with that). I will be back on the next 7.0 class. In the future, don't blow people off like that. Show you are a man and be more responsible. Like I said, not trying to come down on you, but I needed to get that off of my chest. I didn't appreciate how I was treated. So go ahead and admit you screwed up!!! LOL!!!! If you make a ladder, you need to stick with it!!!

It's amazing how unsportsman some racers are. I was in the staging lanes for first round of eliminations when I ran into some technical difficulties starting my truck. So I went to ask my opponant if he would mind hanging back and giving me some time to get my truck running. The look on his face was if I had asked for his firstborn child. His remark was "YOU BETTER MAKE IT QUICK!!!!!". He had no intentions of wanting to give me a chance. The whole time I was working to get my truck running he was making his way to the starting line even though there was other cars that could have ran. I even heard someone holler "time is money" (or something like that). Now I've always been the kind of person that would bend over backwards to help a fellow racer. I've been on the other end of a situation like this. And I had no problem waiting as long as the officials would allow. I never look for an easy win. If I beat someone I want it to be because I earned it.
Maybe one of these days I will get to return his favor.
Granted, I could not get my truck running. But it would have been nice if he would have been sportsman enough to WANT to give me a chance. What goes around ALWAYS come back around.

Lots of improvements for this weekend. Hopefully I can get the Ladders worked out faster for you guys for one so you guys wont run me about that until the first round but I completely understand where you guys were coming from that on the last race... haha anyways. We will have a very nice action Photographer and Camera crew on hand to film the race. I will be walking around with the camera crew during down time when they come around and interview people be real good to them because they will be the ones making the video for the race and they could put you in the spot light haha. Also both of these guys will be selling videos and photography. The photographer will sell photos from the race on hand. And the boys from Landslide Productions will have the videos they made from 2 of the shootouts last year. Swing by and see both of these guys. Also we will have more food for you guys. Barbeque on the pits side for sure and a snow cone stand to keep you cool. Cant wait to have you guys and gals back down this weekend. Thanks Alot

Date Posted: 01:11:24 07/15/05 Fri

I have finally finished the first dvd of more to come
in the near future.

This dvd features the $10,000 payout Clash of the
Champions race hosted by Brainerd Optimist Dragway.
This is a full feature race, including three rounds of
qualifying, driver introduction, quick 4 shootout,
full pass by pass eliminations with results. There is
also a bonus chapter at the end of the film featuring
two duallies!

They come in a trim dvd case. They will sell for $15.
I have never done this before, so i dont claim to have
the best filming or editing techniques, which is why I
made the price lower than the rest of the market.
Everyone who has taken a sneak peek at this film has
absolutely loved it. Satisfaction guaranteed. My next
film will depend on how you guys feel about this one.
Im not in this for the money, but for the love of the
sport. So pass this news on to anyone who wants to see
real street cars rip up an eighth mile of dragstrip.

I will have these at the track, and you can also order
them right here, Clash
of the Champions DVD
, via paypal. Total with
shipping to your door, will be $20.

Thanks guys! This is what the cover looks like:

One has zero passes since totally being refreshed. The other has only 20 to 25 passes total. I'll send it back and have it freshened before I sell it. Its 2 weeks away lets getting some chatter. I know there should be more cars this time around less races going and more money up for grabs. Be good to get a car count to hold spots for parking. You guys saw how crowded the pits were last time we have a partial solution to that but it would also help if we have number of cars that will be around. You know its not hard just if you drop in the site and you know you will down there or have a good chance just leave your name and car and class. Thanks Guys and cant wait till we get to see you again on the 23rd!!!

We spent hours cleaning dust & dirt from our race car
and trailer after the last race, if we could just get
somebody to water down the dust bowl by the pit area,
it would really help all of us. Thanks for all ya'll do!

Hey guys i bet yall cant wait till the next race!! I sure cant wait! Until then i decided i better get on here and get u guys stirred up before then!! Cause it sure aint any excitement going on here!! Not like it should be!! I hait to tell ya chevy boyz, but ya'll are gonna have plenty of competition next race!! I know there wasnt much for the last race but there will be the next!! Really, yall are very lucky Mr. Brown just didnt stomp those chevy's in the ground!!But that will be a differnt story in July!!Cause i have been doing some talking, and i have more than 1 secret bullet coming!!Not only do i have the big bad mud duck coming with his 4.60 mustang but i have talked to others as well!! Such as Brad Brand,Tim Lynch/Steve Petty,Mike Murrillo,Matt Jones,John Urist and more to meet the need!!! They all are very interested about coming down!!! And all of them have SMALL BLOCK fords!!!!!! And i know Brad runs 4.60's and tim can run some 4.50's!! And they are bringing plenty of cars!! And Steve Petty is almost done with Paul Soliz's motor so ss10.5 guys u better look out the 23rd!!And hopefully Kevin will have his car back outby then!! And we aint gotta guess who will win Real Street, everyone knows it will be Big Bad Danny Sanders again!!! And as far as Super Outlaw goes...larry will be sure to shake em of again!! First we have to put his back glass in!! He ran it Saturday and the car mooved around to much!! He still went 4.71 without the back glass and in and out of it a few!! Buster... you better be ready the next race...Me and Larry have your number!!! I we want u to be driving!!! That way you will feel the pain when Larry blows your doors off!!!!You and your 2,000lb car!!!And your all aluminum bigblock!! You aint going to know what is coming up by you!!! You better look fast cause it is just going to be a purple and muroune flash!!! This time, lanes wont make a difference!! Like it did Saturday!!! If we had been in the left it would have turned out different!!! You know that!! Besides thats the first time your car(not you) has ever beatin Larry!! It wont happen again!! You wasnt even driving ha ha!! And you said put that in the record books huh?? 2 out of 3!! Well dont forget about the other record books!! The street races are Larry 3 you none!!!! you might wanna put some nos on your light car cause that is the only way you will get by Larry, if then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To continue the growth of EZ Street and to put more variety in the class we are looking at allowing the Roots Style Blower with this Power Adder being the only only power adder allowed to use dual carbs but only a 4150 carb restriction to both and a 8-71 blower restriction. Im not to familiar with the roots stuff but does this sound like a fair rule to you guys? This will be the only rule considered in this class this year only because we are in the early stages of this class. Real Street voted for there tire change to a 30 inch in height. That rule went through but this will be the only other rule considered this year. Voice your opinion if you are considering to run this class. Thanks

WHOS RESPONSIBLE FOR IN FORCING THE RULES IN OUTLAW 10.5?@THE RACE THERE WAS A SILVER OUTLAW 10.5 CAMARO,WITH A COMPLETE FIBERGLASS FRONT CAP,AND NOT ANY KIND OF HEADLIGHTS.IT WAS ASKED "WHATS UP WITH THE HEADLIGHT RULE" IT WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR COME FACTORY WITH HIDEAWAY HEADLIGHTS,SO THAT WAS LEGAL.THATS WHAT I CALL A SLAP IN THE FACE .WE ALL WORK REAL HARD TO MAKE SHURE THAT OUR CARS MEET ALL THE RULES.IS IT THAT YOUR SCARED THAT IF YOU MAKE THE OUT OF STATE BOYS MAD NONE OF THEM WILL COME BACK,OR DO YOU JUST WANT THE ENTRY FEE,AND NOTHING REALLY MATTERS ABOUT THE RULES OR WHAT .IF YOUR GOING TO LET SOLID FIBERGLASS FRONT CAP CARS RUN WITH NO HEADLIGHTS WE ALL NEED TO DO IT.THAT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 75LBS OFF THE FRONT OF MY CAR.IT YOU SET RULES INFORCE THEM OR MAKE IT O.K. We were r/u at Prescott this past weekend, with a career best 1/8 mile mhp 160.75. Just want to say thanks to all the guys that help with this car, Brian Harrell, Brian Haley, & many others. My Dad and brother Brian for the helping make all this happen, it takes all three of us and help from the guys listed above to make this car run like it does. Thanks guys.

And Thanks to Prescott and Cole for having a great event. Just sorry that we couldn't make it down the right lane the last pass to give the fans a show. We made it down that lane several times earlier in the day and I guess we just put too much power in it that round. But on a good note the track was great compared to the last time we were there. Keep up the good work guys, your races will continue to grow.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have had several emails about EZ Street worried I would let it go easy. I have talked to Larry and we are both excited about this class and we are going to do what it takes to get the car count up. We are looking for sponsors for the class to help the payouts, be looking for the payout to increase for the next race. Also True Radial, Thank You guys for the strong showing this weekend. We had one of the largest fields in this class and so you guys stay on that track. The $500 to Winner and the $200 to the Runner Up will be permanent so you guys keep talking that class up. GREAT JOB!!!! Super Outlaw is a class that looked to be slacking but we had 5 or 6 cars there and then there is 3 or 4 more that we know of that were out due to certain problems. We are expecting a good crowd for this next time as well. We are hoping to keep building on our classes and it helps when you guys go out and talk these races up at other tracks. I know Im already excited about the next race, eventhough you guys wore me out the other day, but as long as you guys enjoy the show we are going to keep putting it on. Thanks Again for the strong support in the first race of the year and be looking for the changes coming up for JULY 23rd. Thanks Alot

The Clash of the Titans/Outlaw Streetcar Nationals and Auto show and Shine Coming to San Antonio Raceway May 27-28
The home track for world Champions Chip Havemann and Mike Murillo, San Antonio Raceway has hosted the The Clash of the Titans/Outlaw Streetcar Nationals Series for the past several years. This will be the first stop in San Antonio for the high-flying COTT Series and The first time for the Clash Auto Show and shine. Just like some of the other tracks that we race on San Antonio is home to some of the quickest cars in the country and several of the local boys are planning on giving the COTT regulars a real fight.

While this is San Antonio’s first COTT race for 2005, it is shaping up to be one of the biggest all year — coming just a month after a colossal season-opener in Noble, OK . Which featured 16 Pro Outlaw six-second 200 mile-per-hour monsters and some fierce competition in the other classes. This will be a explosive event, this isn't just about winning or losing, it's about bragging rights. And it all will be put on the line in less then one weeks at San Antonio Raceway.

Ok not to get the bitching started but what in the world was going on? Hearing that Donnie Hall was told to move so that BGN could park was ridiculous. If BGN would have showed up on time then they would have had a place on the asphalt to park. And for y'all to make Donnie move "because BGN had an enclosed trailer" is outrageous. You said yourself that parking was voluntary so Donnie voluntary parked himself by the people that were helpig him with his car. I do believe that was favoritism and it was a stab at Donnie and I think an apology is in order for being treated like a nobody. I think y'all need to get your sh*t together and quit showing favoritism to the out of state boys. We all drive a long ways too and we can show up on time. Good luck next time!

Just kind of going over my stuff....
Ok for this weekend I want to try a some what organzied parking situation. I will personally be down there Friday Night helping park people who come in that night. And early Saturday who are getting there up until 1:30. Im going with a reserved parking agenda for a few different reasons. Im trying to get the majority of the cars in the cleanest areas trying to keep rocks to a minimum on tires and what not. Also Im doing this so people who are running with each other will have all their competitors close and this will make it easy for everyone to communicate with fellow racers and for spectators to look at cars in each class. Now Im not saying every racer in a certain class will be at the area assinged for their class but I want the vast majority of the racers in a class in the spots we have lined up for them. This is also going by ability to maximize the pit asphault for all the racers. When you get down there either Friday or Saturday you will more than likely get parked by me or a track official, If you are not told where to park you need to ask so you are not asked to be moved, if need be.
Thats one of the big things I was wanting to address.

Also remember If there is a slight chance of rain Saturday the race will be ran Sunday.
Email me if you have any questions about the weather.

The line up for the weekend will be
6.0 Index
Heads Up Bike
True Radial
EZ Street
Real Street
Super Street 10.5
Outlaw 10.5
Super Outlaw

There will be 2 qualifying passes for everyone... assuming your on time. Once a round has ended there isnt any going back. Fuel and Nitrous avaliable at the track. Gates Open at 12 on Saturday Open time trails at 1 Qualifying at 3 and Eliminations around 6

I hope everyone who is planning on it can make and everyone who hasnt ... you need to be changing your plans. This should be the biggest race Arkansas has ever seen and one of the biggest in the South.

Just fair warning to everyone. Make sure you check your car and the rules before coming down this weekend. The rules are rules and they will be followed. I do not want to deny anyone because of a simple rule but no matter the difference they are all rules, follow them. If you have any thing in question email me and we can clarify it before the race. I want everything to go off smooth this weekend so lets be prepared before hand. Thanks
