Subject: interesting fact of the day...

there's a specific bit of the brain that's been found to be responsible for cognitive mapping skills in rats (i.e. if you lesion it they can't find their way round mazes), and someone had the bright idea of studying the same bit in humans. There's a specific group of people in whom it's found to be larger than anyone else. Who are these people? Mathematical geniuses? RAF navigators? nope, London cab drivers.

just thought it was quite amusing.
