Raven, I'm a fan of yours who is writing her first letter to you. I've been at a loss for words to tell you how much your online presence means to me. Then I reread the last 5 lines of this column. That pretty much sums it up.

Since so many of us follow you, you are certain that we trust your words and love the soaps.
But- A big F-off to doctors who think they are being realist and can't find a way to give you hope in your particular situation. Fight! Vent! Scream! Cry! and then fight some more. But know in your heart their are so many of us out here and FB land praying for you and the right doctors to come into your life. I live very close to Sloan Kettering and each time I pass it I think of you and say a quick prayer that some new (non chemo) treatment can be found that will help those who can't take another round of chemo. All the best.
