Hey Gang,



It's been a long day or I would have gotten out here sooner. I am so proud of you guys that words are not adequate. You did this! As the Wall Street Journal stated, talks only truly began in May (just one month after the cancellations were announced). If you will recall, this is when we were raising the dead with the ruckus we were making! Hoover had pulled their ads, and our voices were rather hard to ignore. Many wonderful groups out there worked so incredibly hard on our behalf to help make this happen. Who has ever done this before! We beat the odds, and although I have some serious reservations, this is what we prayed for (to see the shows continue)! You are always telling me that I rock, but it's all of you who are the real rockstar’s today! We actually made a difference! We kept pressure on the wound, and it is beginning to heal! We may have some scars obviously, but we will survive! I love you guys! I came home, saw all of this, and was completely overwhelmed!

I will tell you that I definitely have some concerns (I wouldn't trust ABC if their tongues were notarized and blessed by the pope)! I think I would feel better if this had been sold to someone not even remotely Disney related in any way. None of us saw this coming. They obviously kept a very tight lid on this. I will wait to see the finished product before I completely exhale to make sure they truly go through with what they have promised, but for now, I will take what I can get! I'm not fond of watching things online, but this could pave the way for other soaps to actually be resurrected (I am going to have to buy one of those Wii's or something so that I am not sitting at a computer longer than I need to)! As it is, I don't watch streaming Netflix for this reason, but I guess we all need to roll with the punches somehow.

Now that a deal has been reached, it's going to change a few things to be sure. You guys are going to have to be patient and understand that we are all going to need a little adjustment time to get our bearings again. I'm not sure how this will affect the news I was given on Valentini & Tomlin now that this has been finalized, but I am told they are still going to be in the mix (we may also see Paul Rauch here at some point as well). I am told that GH is still wrapping in July to be off by September, however it seems rather obvious that they will most likely be picked up in the same manner as well (although I do not have confirmation on this yet). I will keep you posted as always.

For those of you who are skeptical, you are not alone my friends. I feel that something isn't quite right, but I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I will be furious and inconsolable if we find that this is not what it appears to be in the end. I do not believe that Agnes would lie to us, and it is because of Agnes that I feel some genuine hope and happiness here today.

Thank you to all of the groups out there who worked so incredibly hard on our behalf! We owe this to all of you! Thank you to Silas Kain, Delibernation, Flo Dibono, Andrea Kollo, Marji Messner, Jeff Rodack, Globe Magazine, Cat Hickland (for keeping us inspired and speaking out so bravely), Jerry Ver Dorn, and all of my readers out there who kept the fires burning for us all. I apologize profusely if I am missing anyone here (exhausted today).

We did it!

P.S. Please do not ask me for details. A great many of us are wondering how they will put this all together, but I am sure we will learn more as we go along. Unfamiliar territory for us all. :)

Agnes wouldn't lie to us but they would lie to her :( . I hope my favorites stick around if not.. sigh, I hope they are at least given a happy ending. I hope the good stays and the trash is taken out :) Don't ruin it OLTL is HOT!

I am very happy they are getting a second chance I hope its not blown by TIIC. I'll miss seeing them on my semi big screen but I won't complain heck maybe I'll hook the computer up to the tv...if it all works out lol

Does this mean that those two from OLTL are still going to GH?

Even if this isn't what it seems, at least this shows that being vocal CAN make an impact, and everyone should be happy about that.

And those of you interested in watching online content on your actual TV may want to consider getting an Apple TV. It's easy and cheap ($99), and among many other things, it allows you to stream videos from iPads, iPhones, and iPod touches. If it plays on the iPhone, it will most likely stream to the Apple TV.

If it is available on internet tv devices...there's RoKu that only costs around 50 bucks. You do need a high speed internet connection. I use RoKu to stream Netflix to my tv. Just thought I'd let you know there's cheaper options than Wii,etc for those like me who may be cutting costs as is. You can buy them at Best Buy, Radio Shack or online.

Check out HBO GO. (and their app) This is where all TV is going.

You'll be able to watch it on your phone, ipad, computer, or internet ready TV

Cable and broadcast networks are headed for extinction.

Everything will be streaming. Nobody wants to pay the cable companies. They don't "create" anything, they just carry it. Well, so does the internet, so who needs cable companies?

The cost of starting a new TV network on the internet (unlike cable) is almost nothing. Content is everything!

Soaps are content, with the most loyal viewers on the planet.

Good news: AMC goes on

Bad News: Low online production budget means loss of major actors, quality writers and substandard sets.

AMC dies anyway just slighty slower and painful to watch.

I'd rather see AMC go out with a bang in September then die a slow death over the next year or so as a substandard production.

I actually agree! Although I would like to see the soaps stay on I want to see it stay on TV not online. I can't say that I will continue to watch them online. Half the time I have them on and listen to them while I am doing other things. I will not be tied to a computer or be forced to purchase anything to watch.
I would rather have my proper ending!!!

Although I am selfishly thrilled our soaps will continue, Ravey, you're the greatest!!!!

I cant help but wonder how many viewers they will lose b/c they will be online. I seem to remember that there was a high demographic of older viewers watching and disney didnt care about them. If these viewers don't have a computer, won't that decrease the numbers for our soaps even more? This is what makes me nervous about this deal. I also will not pay to watch, so I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll be able to continue loving my stories.

Also, will Soapnet stay around and if so, will they broadcast them?

This new development has me not knowing which way to go(emotion wise).I'm tickled silly AMC&OLTL will go on but there are so many crying foul over this deal.It's pulling me every which way on the emotional roller coaster. I'll be glad when PP decides to release more(some)details about this new set up.It'll be nice knowing who's been contacted about staying,who's being asked to return,will there be a charge to watch&if so how much? Oh yeah,it would be rather nice to know when AMC&OLTL will be available for viewing.How long will we have to wait between AMC's ABC/Disney television finale before we're able to see Pine Valley online?

Read somewhere that AMC will continue online the Monday, Sept. 26th following the television finale the previous Friday. Julie will continue as producer and Broderick as headwriter. And Susan Lucci will continue "in some capacity" was the wording I believe.

A new development in the continuing saga of "All My Cancellations"......

Finally! Good news on one part of the equation! Michael Logan is the only person, besides my own sources, that I honestly trust. As many of you know, I had been awaiting his take on all of this with good reason. There is still some major news to tell you this weekend about the dicey part of this deal, however THIS is VERY encouraging! Thank you Michael! XOXO!

I really wish they would tie up AMC with tidy little bows as they had planned to do according to the article. Publicizing and creating a lot of buzz about the online continuation will do far more to bring in an audience than any cliffhangers ever can. Previewing the NEW stories could pique interest more than just another cliffhanger.

I'd like to see them end Book One and start off Book Two when it debuts online the next week.

Speaking of books, wouldn't it be neat to have the old Photo Album from the beginning years to open the last few broadcast episodes.
