General Hospital..............................

Hey Guys,

Today is not the greatest for me so forgive me if I am not my bubbly self (anniversary of my mother''s death and the day I find out if the margins are clear during my follow up later on today). I have been a nervous wreck as I may have to go through this thing all over again if the margins were not clear so I have been a bit on edge (April 12 is always painful because it's the day I lost my mom to Leukemia). That being said, I am so happy for all of us that have been fighting the good fight this early morning. Here's an excerpt from an update that I left out here and over at Facebook on April 2, 2012. We need to revisit this for a reason:

As an aside, thank you guys so much for making sure that I received credit on my Robin is alive and being held against her will scoop that I posted before she was even dead (back in January). It was just a really sweet thing to see, and it gave me a much-needed smile. In that vein, I am only now catching up slightly on e-mails from some of you. My longtime source says that The Revolution is the best thing that could have ever happened to GH. I could really use some uplifting news right now (we all could). Keep your fingers crossed (they never counted on the Revolution doing THIS badly). They are in a state of shock over this. This could be a game changer. Either way, we will know soon enough (announcement is coming). Keep in mind that if GH is saved for another year, some of those destined to return will most likely not be returning now as they were simply going to be part of a major Fireworks display in the end as a tribute to the fans. You take the bad with the good and make the best of it. Look for news on more of my scoops to make it to the announcement phase here shortly (Ted King may be the first one). Remember what I said a few months ago "AND THE DEAD SHALL RISE" (and indeed they shall)!

As you can see from the above paragraph left out on April 2, we did indeed receive that extra time that my source spoke of however it's a double-edged sword. We didn't get that extra time because Frank and Ron are amazing (they are amazing anyway, but writing never had anything to do with the other cancellations, and were not factors in this one either). This was never about writing. If it was all about ratings and writing, OLTL would have been saved. Lorraine Broderick's sudden appearance at AMC would have saved them. This is all about greed and finding incredibly cheap programming that will result in ratings they can live with even if they are not as good as what they saw with our beloved shows. When they saw how great OLTL's ratings were and how incredible the writing was, they didn't care because they were already on a mission. It was cancelled despite the fact that it came under budget, had incredible ratings, and was a known cult favorite in the celebrity world. As my source told me a few weeks ago, The Revolution was the best thing that could have ever happened to GH. It tanked to a degree that they hadn't counted on. It was hopeless and actually becoming an embarrassment, I was told.

As some of you know who I am rather close to out here, I did many pageants growing up. I was a pageant kid and did them through my twenties as well (until one day I realized how shallow and ridiculous they were and thought what the hell am I doing and walked away). This would be like my getting first runner up in a pageant, the winner gets sick and can�t perform her duties, and I win by default. General Hospital has more time because The Revolution was so awful and so hopeless that they had no other choice at this stage in the game. My long time readers know that I have never pulled any punches with you. You have always gotten the truth from me even when I was shot to death as the messenger time and time again. WE know that GH is a wonderful show that deserves more years to thrive and grow, but the truth is that ABC wants out completely despite how good or how beloved GH is to it's long-time viewers. This was not done out of kindness trust me. I am as thrilled as you are, but I want to caution you about keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground right now for a reason. The publicity stunt with Katie trying to save the show so that soap fans don't turn on her and see her as an actual hero instead, looks like it's working. They are very clever mice at the mouse house. The real reason is that the Revolution tanked so badly that not even Cinderella's Fairy Godmother could save it. They took Lemons and made them into Lemonade (a smart and cunning move).

Be happy and rejoice, but do not give up the fight. Mark my words (and this date in time). If you give up now foolishly believing that we were saved because they finally saw reason, your hearts will be ripped apart in the coming months. They are going syndicated completely. They want all the way out. We got more time because the Revolution tanked miserably making everybody nervous. They are looking at other options now, which means we need to keep pressure on the wound and show them we are not so mindless as to believe it's all over because it's not my friends. We didn't win for the right reasons. We didn't win for reasons that will save us for the longer haul. We did however show them that we are a force to be reckoned with which they are still buzzing about. If anything, we need to use this time to amp things up. To keep the viewership high so that other entities will see promise in taking on GH when the more painful announcement is eventually made. Please keep fighting the good fight. Just keep sharp and work smart. Don't let your guard down in this fight or you will be completely blindsided in the end. Enjoy the time and use it wisely.

You guys are always telling me not to give up. There are moments when I almost do because things seem hopeless. I feel like am chasing a phantom that is in my blood and spreading like wildfire and here I am with my one pitiful can of water against this huge blaze. The past few days have been hard because I don't feel well and I sit here and wonder if it's because it's now in my Lymph Nodes or is it simply because I am run down from all the surgery. There are moments when I want to just pack it in because I am truly that tired and scared, but I don't because of you. You have such strength. You are so fierce and powerful. You are unwavering and strong. You make me realize that I need to keep my wits about me and fight this thing until the end. I love you for this and so much more. Just keep strong my beloved warriors. Keep pressure on this wound and don't give up on the campaigns you are currently working on. If anything, we need to use this gift of time to do more before all is said and done. I love you....♥♥♥

I am a fan from way back. I have been reading you for years. If it were not for you, we would have never known the shows were being canceled in the first place. You have given us a major heads up on so many things. The fans are so grateful to you for this and so much more my dear Raven. You are a breath of fresh air. A very special woman. Thank you for yet another heads up. We know we will get the real truth from you always.

Please take care of yourself for you are so special to us. I know this is a deadly cancer, but you must continue to fight. We need you! We love you!
