I've followed you for years at SOC. You, and you alone made the whole thing fun. I couldn't wait until the weekend for the latest dirt dished by you, the Master. I understand why you are leaving, and wish you well.
Even SOC has changed from a once vibrant, thoughtful community, to a childish, hate spewing group of malcontents. Thread after thread of hatred, just for the sake of hatred has turned off all the stalwarts from reading and posting. Even the once respected Y&R thread has become that way. Maybe it is a sign of the times...
Thank you for letting us know of your retirement. You deserve so much better.

Unfortunately the soap world is contracting and that's making things...extreme. Its gotten crazy all over: on camera, behind the scenes, and even "out here" in the fanverse. I've seen a tiny bit of what you've had to deal with and honestly I'm surprised you didn't quit sooner. Or at least implode in a Cristian Bale-style rant.
I know a lot of people are going to say "Come back!" and "Don't go!" but I know what it's like when something you love goes bad so I ask you this: did you felt a sense of peace after you posted this message? If so, then focus on the future and don't look back. You've earned it.
I wish I could send you this message privately because I suspect what I said will piss off some of your other posters but so be it. It won't be the first time.
