So many of you have been readers of mine from way back (I have been writing this column for nearly 10 years). You know that the one thing I will never do is lie to you. I'm always up front with you no matter what. I've had excellent sources over the years that have given me incredible exclusives (including the cancellations as early as January long before it was announced anywhere). I had Trevor St John out in a February column because those sources have been nothing short of amazing. I'm actually surprised that we haven't had any major misses yet because that's standard when a show is going off the air (multiply this by 2 and you are dealing with twice the change, twice the amount of meetings that will be held and so forth). It's very hard to be accurate in this kind of climate, but so far, they have been incredible, and I am truly grateful.

I can be wrong, and freely admit this. I know it's inevitable, as we get closer to the end. There is no way that any of us can ever possibly get them all correct or have 100% accuracy (not even the actors know what's going on half the time) but what I won't do is lie to you. I get tidbits (never a play by play). None of us are told everything. I'm not God (shocking I know) so I can't tell you that this latest rumor is untrue (I can't). If it ends up coming to fruition, it will be a surprise for us all. This one came out of left field for everybody, which could be either really good or really bad. Really bad because none of us have heard a word on this from our sources, so it's pure smoke or really good because it's indeed true and was just kept very hush hush these past few months. Hopefully, we will all hear more on this tomorrow. I would hate to see the fans chains jerked yet again. If this is what's happening here, I am going to be livid. We have all been through quite enough.

What I will tell you is this, stay focused and keep pressure on the wound. We need to keep our efforts up until we get very clear confirmation on this (I would feel a lot better hearing this from Michael Logan). If this is a ploy to keep us placated and docile, then we have nothing to lose since we would still be keeping up all our efforts and fighting just as hard as we have been doing. If this turns out to be true, all of you who have been working your asses off out there on our behalf, should give yourselves a pat on the back. Susan Lucci was right (we are on fire). We have made a lot of noise out there. If this is true, you have yourselves to thank.

As for me, I remain hopeful but cautious. I look at most of you as a sort of extended family that I've had for many years. I do not want to see that family hurt and left disappointed again. Let's hope we get better clarification tomorrow. Sleep tight gang...............

Oh I hope this is the light at the end of the tunnel all of us have been hoping for!I'm keeping everything crossed that we'll have good news soon regarding our shows. I have a bottle of champagne dying to be opened in celebration. Praying to the 'soap gods' I won't have to open it to console me in sorrow.

Have to say...If there's a person alive that believes that they always intended to find a new home for the soaps, there is a magnificent bridge in Brooklyn for sale! LOL Whatever...This is amazing news!

Excellent news - but there's also a lot of logistics to be ironed out - new contracts, questions about what kind of budget they'll be able to work with - and...of course this probably means a NIGHTMARE of even FURTHER massive rewrites for the remaining ABC broadcast episodes!

...and speaking of writing, that leaves the big question of who the writing staffs will consist of. If RC is headed to OLTL, it's going to need a new headwriter - someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get Michael Malone/Josh Griffith on the phone!

I know a lot of long-timers feel that way, but I really never enjoyed Malone or Griffin's style. I love Carlivati and Valentini and want them to stay put!
