May 4th is not long ago, so your grief is still fresh. It will take time. I understand what you mean about her sons not grieving, but there is no doubt that males and females have their own unique ways to grieve. Those who are not psychologically or emotionally strong enough to grieve will have to deal with it later in life. I think this must be harder for you because you never got your relationship with her in the place you wanted it to be and now it seems like it is too late. I once heard someone say that death ends a life, but not a relationship, and I believe that to be true. Mary [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 06:54:49 09/09/08 Tue Hi Kathy I think before you loose someone, if there are gaps in your relationship you still think that time will eventually sort it out, especially if you are living abroad. Work commitments and children tend to limit visiting possiblities. Unfortunately a sudden bereavement knocks those assumptions on the head and its an extra load to deal with ... on top of the loss of a dear one. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
