Subject: mane bags on friesians

Has anyone ever used mane bags on there friesian? My gelding likes to rub his mane on anything that is near him. He does have a beautiful mane but there is noticable breakage from rubbing. I would like to try these bags but if he is rubbing can these bags break off along with the mane hair in the bag. I believe they sell these online in another country and also here in the states at Toadstool Farms. Anyone have any advice or experience with these? Thanks!!!
