I understand they train very differently in Europe and certainly don't use natural training. They consider a horse trained if it was driven once around a track and had a saddle on its back and trotted around. Their goal is to get them sent overseas quickly. I give careful thought to buying any horse sight unseen.
How long did it take for your horse to learn to trust you? I bought my Friesian 5 months ago and is now following me around and is responding to me as the leader. They are the most loving horses I have ever seen.
Has anyone else had trust issues?
