Alex's Wessel is a FPS foalbook stallion, meaning he was born to FPS registered parents, but is not an FPS Approved breeding stallion.

Some tips on ways to tell whether a stallion is FPS approved or not:
FPS Stallions are not advertised for crossbreeding
Always have a number following their name (ex: Anton 343)
You can confirm a stallions information (bloodlines, test scores, etc.) with the FPS and it's satellite associations.

The only thing I will say is that mare owners should be well informed when they decide to breed. A foal by this stallion out of an FPS mare would not be eligible for the same level of registry status in the FPS as a foal by an approved stallion. Whether this is of importance or not, is of course up to the mare owner, but everyone should be aware of their registry's policies toward unapproved and crossbred breedings.

Personally, I think this stallion is lovely. I love the baroque type which seems to be becoming rarer and rarer these days. His foals are quite handsome as well... I like Falco, for all his quirky white markings, and the other photos of the horses interacting with various other farmyard critters are very cute! What a menagerie!
