Subject: saddle for friesians
In reply to: Karen 's message, "saddle problems" on 06:04:45 04/22/08 Tue

I have good experiences with KN dressage saddles on Friesian horses (I have a Symphonie that I used on at least 25 different Friesians- I'm from Holland- so lots of friesians here). I personally don't like Fryso (tweespan) saddles. The seat forces the rider in a position, and my back can't handle that. My KN has a medium tree, fine for more modern Friesians, but heavier horses need a wide (that's 34)
If you want a gp saddle, look for a Stubben.

Good luck!
