Lotje, that's a very comprehensive and well considered reply which I must agree with. Importers/sellers do 'talk up' their horses and those who want to buy into the idea that a friesian is some magical beast that you can ride without having any skill/experience are all too keen to lap it up (I'm not referring to previous posters). No 3 year old, of any breed, is going to be a novice ride but I've seen some marketed as such. It does the horse a serious disservice to sell it this way and have it land in an unsuitable home where it is at risk of being spoiled.
