Hi Phaedra,

If you own a B-book II filly you can still breed her to a KFPS Approved stallion. The resulting foal would be registered in the B-book I category. The FHANA is only no longer registering B-Book II papers. The FHANA has not stated that they will not register B-Book I papers. B-book I and II are different!

*As a note- if someone wants to breed for a B-Book II foal they can still do that! You just need to register the foal directly with the KFPS. You will not be able to go through the FHANA to register the foal. Basically, the FHANA won't talk to, and get papers for your B-Book II foal. You just half to go straight to the registry that our horses are registered in- The KFPS. It’s a bit harder, but not impossible!
