I have never ridden in a treeless saddle, but a friend of mine used to train horses at a dressage barn which used only treeless saddles on their horses. She says they do take some getting used to, and that you need to be (or at least will become, after using them) a secure and balanced rider. I like the sound of them, but just from what she tells me they are not for a beginner on a young horse..as there is a lesser degree of security for the rider in a treeless saddle.
