So far I have heard only good things about them, especially for hard to fit horses. I have also heard that they are less secure of a seat, but I have been riding for years & have had young horses in the past (I have not started any myself, but have had some VERY green horses). With my million questions I could see how I might sound like a beginner. It's just that this is my first friesian, I'm used to quarter horses that are under saddle at two & I want to learn as much about friesians as possible, so as to not make any major mistakes with her. I think I'll really like the close contact of a treeless, I love riding bareback, it seems like you can "read" the horse better if you know what I mean. I was at the trail head last week & a friend of a friend had one, I rode in it for a few minutes & it was really comfy. I think when the time comes, I'm going to give treeless a try!
