Subject: some questions

Hi,

I am new to Friesian horses.

1)Could someone tell me what could cause rub marks on a Friesen's face? These are not from itching, they are symmetrical on the face sides and under the head. Almost as if from a bridle or halter (round in shape for the most part).

2) Is pacing the fence common to the breed?
