I would say most Friesian owners have the means to support their retired show and brood horses, so you don't often see them for sale. You may find an older Friesian in their lower 20's for sale, but they won't necessarily be cheap... maybe around 10k unless the owner is simply looking for a good retirement home. However, that doesn't happen too often I would guess, and even if you did find a retired horse that age, the 20's is fairly old for a Friesian and you may end up owning the horse only for a few years.
