It is unlikely the fact she is not in foal that has caused her to colic - fine if she had just foaled, they can often colic just after foaling as there is suddenly a huge void!
I think it would be highly irresponsible to breed from her again, she has produced enough foals so she has done her bit for the gene pool, so let her retire, you seriously would risk her life if you did try again. Try breaking her in so the value of her offspring goes up.
Friesians are prone to colic as they are often born with holes in the mesentry and gut gets stuck and dies, it would have been picked up by your vet in surgery though, but they also have less adhesions holding the gut in place than other breeds!
