Subject: Shoulder Guards For Rubbing Manes

I have a 5 year old Friesian gelding with a beautiful long mane. I have bought a very expensive Rambo flybuster blanket for him last summer and his bottom part of the mane was rubbed off with this blanket. Again, over winter with his other blanket the same thing happened. I cannot find a cut back summer sheet/blanket. I was told to put a shoulder guard on him under it but dont you think this would rub too on the mane. Please any ideas or recommendations on a good cut back blanket?
