Subject: Keeping your Friesian black

Hello everyone. Wondering if y'all out there have some secret formula for keeping your Friesian's coat nice and black. Mine sheds out his winter coat every year to a brown summer coat. He was jet jet black when we bought him as a yearling 2 years ago, but he bleached out that 1st summer we had him & his coat has never been the same. He's never been body clipped but I'm beginning to wonder if that would help. We've tried 3 washings with the Quick Black shampoo & that did nothing. He's been on the Cheval Black as Knight for almost 1 month and that has done nothing. Is there some secret I'm not aware of? Night turn out is not an option at our barm. Please help! We have a show in 3 weeks! :)
