Subject: Driving Yearling

We have a Friesian that turned 1 year in April. Has anyone started training at this age for driving. Not pulling something, just learning the feel of the sursingle and the harnesses. We have a trainer working with him just to despook him and get him out into the world 2 lessons a month, but would like to start the process of teaching him to drive. If you have done this, have you used a bit or just a halter. Thanks for any input you have.
