Subject: shedding

Do your Friesians lose feather hair during shedding season too? My boy has usually really thick and lots of mane, tail and feathers (that reach up to his knees), but for the last few days he seems to have less and less hair on his feet?! We used chaste berry tree tablets to help him get rid of his winter coat - could that be a reason?
