Subject: scratches

All scaratches and the severity are different. The wetter and more humid seems to worsen it. My friesians are bumpy and peel all the time and are worse in summer. I read alot about it and found that there is a shampoo called eqyss mega tek shampoo and a spray medicine that is for scratches. If you use it correctly which is to shampoo with it often , blow dry after or let dry then put medicine on 2x a day it works. If you are aggressive it works. While you wait for this product to get it do this:: wash and rinse 3times with pantene shampoo and very gently when scabs are getting loose and soft on 3rd wash scrape off with your finger nail as much as he can tolerate. Then let dry and get a baby oil bottle and put half oil and half regular listerene antiseptic mouth wash. shake it well and rub on scratches. This advice was from a vet that raised clydesdales. Next day 2x do oil/listerene following day wash then oil/listerene etc till better. If you really dont have time to wash second time then do listerene mix 3rd day. Dont wait long to wash again. Get a small stool and sit while you gently wash leg. As it improves you can wash less and just use mix. It is a pain but a friesian is worth the trouble!!!
