I have a big (17 hands) friesian - Isabell Werth saddle OK from age 4-5 - then it broke while riding - end of extra wide gullet tore away, leaving gullet strap flapping in the breeze. Saddle less than 2 years old. May have been defective but KEEP CHECKING SADDLE FIT ON GROWING FRIESIANS. Do your horse and yourself a favor and get a custom saddle, or at least have a professional fit the saddle. Bought a Lauriche - worth every penny.
