Hi Muriel! Allthough it is not often very hot here in the Netherlands, I think it is a bit common known here that the endurance of a friesian is a bit more difficult to built then another kind of horse......so it is not that they can't do this, but I think you must pay more attention to built it up slowely. I heard from different people in the US that a lot of importet Friesians had difficulties with the temperature...so I can imagine that endurance especially in the heat must be difficult on them.......though if you take the time to train them for it it must be possible offcourse....good luck!
