Subject: baroque is better

Hello Jill and joe,
I fell in love with the friesian years ago when I purchased a book by robert Vavra. There is a Friesian in that book who is Frans (now deceased) and he of of the more original baroque build. As I started to research the breed more, I knew that I had to have one. This was almost 15 years ago and most I came across on line were the baroque ones. I finally was able to import a gelding and he is baroque but it was much harder to find him than I thought. I found many that were the modern type and the only thing Friesian about them was that they were black and had some feathering. I am with joe, I love the original breed. Very hairy and very stout. Hopefully this type wont disappear with the increase of modern babies born every year. Just my opinion.
