I agree with Kelsey. However, I do think it's god to start groundwork with a horse at 2 1/2 or 3 years old. This will prepare them for both keuring and riding. I don't think riding is a good way to train a horse for keuring because the first few months the horse is still trying to find it's balance and won't build any muscle. So I would at least wait untill after the keuring with mounted work, any earlier would just waist precious training time. Plus I don't think it's fair to ride an untrained horse.
But hey, that's Holland, time is money....
