Well I askes Saskia and she knows what it was, but we don't feed the horses alfalfa. I don't know if it grows here in the fields, but I'm sure we can't buy it in bales like hay. We do have normal hay and (we call it kuilgras in Holland, i don't know the english word). it's like hay, but than packed in plastic. It contains more water than hay, it's a bit wet. It has more proteins than hay. Usually we give this to horses with airway problems. but that's something else than alfalfa.
