I imported my mare in foal, and thought I could trust the importer. My mare was supposed to have w/t/c in both directions securely. However, I ended up having to start her her from scratch because she knew nothing. After I paid for her, I was told she was in foal with her second foal, and was originally told it was her first. Although there was a video showing her at w/t (no canter & probably her first and only ride in Europe), she had really been doing nothing but having babies in Europe. I was even told you could put your grandma on this horse, which is absolutely absurd. She's now six years old and has had a combined total of about six months training. She's beautiful, willing, sensible and not lazy, but still pretty green. I now have a good dressage trainer who thinks she's above average for a Friesian, so I'm happy about that! However, I'm frustrated and losing patience, all due to the importer's lies. My mare is incredible though, so I'm doing my best to stick it out.
