VoyForums: USB - The Bubble Board

The purpose of this board is to create a forum in which pageant fans, delegates, contestants, etc, can post and view messages which are DIRECTLY related to the Miss Universe pageant system. Our mission is to provide a civil environment where all are welcome - from dial-up to cable. Because of this we ask those posting pictures to be considerate of others and downsize larger pictures. Please use common sense as to the number of photos you provide within a post. we suggest larger numbers of photos within one post to be posted as a "click in". This is no place for continuous and unrelenting bashing - in a MEAN and INTENTIONAL fashion. It won't be tolerated. We all know that this may mean different things to different people, so let's just use some common sense here. It's one thing to not like someone and say so, it's another to CONTINUALLY bash this same person by using different handles. In addition, ads, banners and posts concerning clothing for sale, etc, will be deleted. There are plenty of consignment forums and other options for those who want to sell their goods or products. Finally, we encourage all participants to respect the flow of the board. We respectfully request that you not stop the flow of discussion with personal attacks directed at other members of the board. If this occurs, we request you take those personal attacks off the board and settle your problems with each other personally through email. We have several posters on this board who have a sense of humor that some may find offensive, especially if you are a first time visitor. Please understand that we do have thought provoking conversations, but there are some posters (BamaMan, Gladys, Miss USA 2007 Contender and the remainder of her family just to name a few) who are posting in a joking manner. All complaints are welcome but we request you do so via email. There is a button below to contact all the moderators per email. Complaints on the board will be unapproved.

I have to say this is one Miss Universe that has been getting grilled with crazy questions since she got crowned, and she's handled the media VERY WELL. It was brought up during her final question which was what have you learned from prev. pageant experience... she went on to say that this year she took to heart what her mother had taught her when she was battling cancer when Ana was only 17 years old which was again "let god and let GOD." This touched everyone, not as a pitty party but becuase you could feel the sincerity in Ana's voice and for someone who is as pregnant as Stephanie and already a mother it was emotional. (I mean come on, some pregnant women cry over any little thing your emotions are SKY HIGH) The lady next to me didn't even know who Ana was, never heard of her and she was teary when she was crowned. She said that as a mother it hurt her to know that a daughter just acheived such a dream without her mother there to congratulate her. I think it depends on what state you are competing in. How did you do as a teen? Are you working with a coach so you can make the transition from teen to miss? Teen is much different from Miss, but with the right help the transition can be made. If it were a true "beauty" pageant....then Megan M. would've been the hands down winner. But Rima has shown us that it is not all about "the prettiest girl on stage winning". I am, however, happy for Ana...she certainly has "fought the good fight" over the past 5 years. She will do a great job as Miss Texas USA.... Folks want to know why USA doesn't win Universe any more, well it's because all the USA girls (whether it's the winner or many state reps) are worked to DEATH during their reign and don't get the prep time that many of the foreign girls have.
