The purpose of this board is to create a forum in which pageant fans, delegates, contestants, etc, can post and view messages which are DIRECTLY related to the Miss Universe pageant system. Our mission is to provide a civil environment where all are welcome - from dial-up to cable. Because of this we ask those posting pictures to be considerate of others and downsize larger pictures. Please use common sense as to the number of photos you provide within a post. we suggest larger numbers of photos within one post to be posted as a "click in". This is no place for continuous and unrelenting bashing - in a MEAN and INTENTIONAL fashion. It won't be tolerated. We all know that this may mean different things to different people, so let's just use some common sense here. It's one thing to not like someone and say so, it's another to CONTINUALLY bash this same person by using different handles. In addition, ads, banners and posts concerning clothing for sale, etc, will be deleted. There are plenty of consignment forums and other options for those who want to sell their goods or products. Finally, we encourage all participants to respect the flow of the board. We respectfully request that you not stop the flow of discussion with personal attacks directed at other members of the board. If this occurs, we request you take those personal attacks off the board and settle your problems with each other personally through email. We have several posters on this board who have a sense of humor that some may find offensive, especially if you are a first time visitor. Please understand that we do have thought provoking conversations, but there are some posters (BamaMan, Gladys, Miss USA 2007 Contender and the remainder of her family just to name a few) who are posting in a joking manner. All complaints are welcome but we request you do so via email. There is a button below to contact all the moderators per email. Complaints on the board will be unapproved.

But Kelli probably hasn't been given a fair chance for the conspiracy you're stating; though if the past 4 winners were blonde hair, blue eyed, in white gowns, I'm sure people would still have an issue. Nice to see directors helping other directors. (NT) -- fan, 09:11:59 07/01/09 Wed The Dallas director, Will, has worked for Denise O'Brian (Houston/Bay Area director) on the Miss Bay Area and Miss Houston pageants for years. Will is a great guy who brings some fresh blood to the whole director seen. In Texas it's a who's who kind of thing. All of the prelim winners seem to caravan from prelim to prelim to be scene and photographed by Valley Queens! Watch-many of them will make the trek to the Bahamas to "support" Texas Teen USA-even though they don't know her! The motto seems to be "spare no expense!" Sorry to digress-Will did a great job with his first pageant and he has a great Miss Dallas in Brittany Tiner. ANTSO is a community and academic based pageant system which is not only looking for the beauty, but even more so the brains. Making the honor roll every marking period will only get you so far! I am pleasantly surprised to see Ghana compete in 2009. They have held their contest biannually (on even years) since 2002. Perhaps to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Akuba Kudjoe's placement? Russia will now be represented by Svetlana Stepankovskaya (23 yrs, 5'11"). She finished 1st runner-up at the Miss Russia 2009 pageant to Sofia Rudieva. Svetlana was originally named for Miss Universe 2009 (with Sofia initially being named for Miss World 2009), but was replaced by Sofia, and now she's replacing Sofia again. Lebanon will now be represented by Martine Andraous (18 yrs, 5"7"). Martine was just crowned Miss Lebanon 2009 but was supposed to go to Miss Universe 2010. She replaces Rosarita Tawil who was Miss Lebanon 2008. Those last minute switcheroos made my head spin, but I think both countries are sending better choices. Best of luck to both! And many of the state directors have MUO links - a few are former state titleholders (Kim Harlan for one, that's how I found it... also Tammy Ashton & Alicia Michioka) Anyway, I was surprised to see that I recognised quite a few of the contestants... a couple of last years Teen USA delegates, and a few state 1RUS among others. Unfortunately they don't have names under the pics so I couldn't figure out the rest, but here are the ones I recognised...
