Subject: Sesame Street – Too Funny

Today on Sesame Street they had a parody of Law and Order: SVU. They called it the Special Letter Unit. It was complete with puppet for Olivia, Elliot, Munch (the best puppet because it looked so close to him) and Capt Cragen. They managed to pick up some mannerism and even had “that” noise. I realize it may just be the sleep deprivation that made it funny, but it still made me chuckle.

[> I figure SS was created for ME! It started the November I was two (no one do the math). I still have my Big Bird radio (AM only). Today, I find the guest stars' (some pretty big talent) interactions with the puppets very interesting. I love the TV show parodies! They not only keep the children entertained while educating them, but they also keep the adults interested, so they actually watch with the kids instead of just sticking them in front of it! -- Shaz, Thursday, March 13, 15:31:18 [1]

[> Two of my all-time favorite tv spots involve Sesame Street. Thanks to YouTube I was able to enjoy them this morning: 'Put Down the Duckie' with all kinds of stars from 1988 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3049TRLo5M) and from the '90s 'She Drives Me Crazy' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3049TRLo5M). Actually I think both were from specials, but I remember the Duckie in particular on regular Sesame Street, too. Speaking of office idiots, I once worked for a live human being we nicknamed Miss Piggy. I was sure Jim Henson must have patterned the pig after her. -- Ninja_Girl, Friday, March 14, 7:35:15 [1]

[> [> Okay, so I HAD to watch it! Then I had to check out what else was on you tube about Sesame Street. The 35th Anniversary was interesting. If you head over to watch it, be sure to check out the TV (it changes)! -- Shaz, Friday, March 14, 10:32:22 [1]
