] Date Posted: 28/09/06 13:58 In reply to: melanierose 's message, "enlightened" on 25/09/06 17:52 Hello not been here for a while. am a friend of zenwinds. such a sweet gentle site i love it. lacking in all the arrogance and attitude of so many forums out there. the love is strong. melanie rose... it depends on what you mean by enlightened. in my path (a kind of buddhism) it means being free from mind states such as greed/delusion and the attachment to being an individual 'self' - to many buddhists the individualised self is an illusion and causes great pain and enlightmenent is transcending this. i know some people who have and certainly show signs of enlightment in this context though they would never enter into discussion on it.
